Ich habe in Vollzeit bei New York Life gearbeitet (Weniger als ein Jahr)
Can't think of much else
-Too many "mandatory" meetings, 15-20 of 1 hour or more per week before you "trigger" (NYL parlance for being hired FT). Got ridiculous enough that the company intervened at my branch, it was becoming a labor issue.
-Absurd onboarding process. NYL, from the time I agreed to come aboard on 3/31/21 (I got my license on 4/15/21), took a furtherl six weeks to approve my contract. Meanwhile, I couldn't use the system, was getting almost no training (all those mandatory meetings were oriented towards FT staff; management gets additional $ for each participant in their webinars, so they were pushing us newbies into the meetings to inflate their numbers).
-The partner-manager I was supposed to work with was fragile about criticisms and turned on me, saying I had "turned against" him. They also speak in a strange set of buzzwords found in the most recent bestselling sales books.
-Unreal sales expectations (wanted booked appointments though I was locked out of the system and not approved to work for NYL. I booked appointments with all my family members & it still wasn't enough; mind you, I left the company within a week of my contract being approved
-Approval took so long I missed training/compensation meetings. My partner's reaction was "oh well"
Rat an das Management
Get out of your own way. People want training and to get to work.
