Ich arbeite als befristeter Mitarbeiter bei GAF (Weniger als ein Jahr)
It is very pro-team based, and made one feel like a full-time employee. This was very positive, considering most companies like to make their contract workers as second-class citizens in their work environment. They also have a lot of fun company functions on-site to celebrate special occasions. As well as having a great food court selection by friendly a chef & staff. Most importantly, they are very sensitive to family & never expect you to work past your 8 hours unless you are offering or willing to.
Sometimes the full-time employees wouldn't work past their normal 8 hour schedule. The sense of ownership to a project was sometimes not there. Then it was passed to a contract worker to complete, without advising where one can retrieve the full job to complete. So, we found ourselves searching through the servers to try to complete the project in order to meet their expected deadlines. As a contract worker, more hours means more money, YES! But, a contractor's time would be more productive & cost effective, if we did not have to search for all of the eliminates afterwards. It is important to have ALL jobs saved on the server at the end of each day, so another designer can just pick up where the last designer left off to complete.

I believe they have now updated their system with work files that eliminates the con I just described. So, that is a great improvement! So, no real advice to management, as I had no issues with management. Natalie and Carlos were great to me!
