Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte mehr als 3 Monate. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Januar 2014 bei BMW (Bracknell, England (Vereinigtes Königreich)).
Initially an online application answering competency based questions, 'give an example of a time when you've...' If successful the next stage was aptitude tests run by SHL, I think both maths and english. I actually received a 'regret' email after this process which I was particularly disappointed about because it was the first test I'd failed for one of these jobs. A couple of weeks later I then got a phone call saying that was a mistake and I actually passed and got through to having a telephone interview. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing - bad in that they made the mistake, but good in that someone is checking for those mistakes. The telephone interview was pretty easy, basic questions like 'what do you know about BMW?' and then some competency based questions. After this I was invited to an assessment centre. This consisted of 2 group activities, building a recognisable world landmark, we went for Big Ben. The second was a more logic based exercise that involved a lot of maths and is impossible to explain. All I can remember is that the answer was 'day 4'.
In-between the group assessments was a individual interview/presentation. Before the assessment centre I was given a presentation topic. I had to present to two managers who then asked some questions. After that I sat down and they interviewed me. This wasn't hard, they asked questions about me, again a few competency questions, my motives for applying to BMW etc, nothing particularly challenging. We were told that we would hear back within two weeks "but it'll be much sooner than that" she said. Well they must have forgotten about me because after 2 weeks I heard nothing - so I rang to chase them up and several hours later I received another 'regret' email. The fact that they clearly forgot about me pissed me off severely and has put me off ever applying for them again as I know for a fact that other candidates heard back the next day. Pity I didn't know this before I rang them.
My assessment centre was early Jan 2014 - over a month afterwards and I'm still waiting for feedback and my expenses to be paid.
