    Pros

    - Equal opportunity:
    As a woman in a senior role, I can say this is something that I care about very strongly and I wouldn’t have stayed for near 4 years if there was any unfairness or exclusion happening at Vungle.
    In the last four years, I have been judged as an equal next to my peers and have had every opportunity to learn and grow.
    The leadership team has rolled out programs to support unbiased interviewing, which I feel is very much needed for a younger company with many of employees in their first or second job.
    I’m pleased to see more emphasis our women@vungle group in the last months, with lectures and sessions planned to both unite and inspire our female colleagues.
    Like many companies in this space, we still have work to do - but the fact that this is a big topic for Leadership is very encouraging and motivating.

    - Performance management:
    Continuous feedback is something I think we are very good at at Vungle. Detailed quarterly reviews and strong management have helped me develop tremendously as a professional. In 4 years, I have learned more than 4 years at a top college.

    - Culture:
    It’s fast paced and demanding. It’s not for those looking for a comfy 9- 5 with little responsibility.
    But for those who love challenges and want to make a difference, Vungle is the right place.
    I’ve made some of the best friends in my life through my time here, and know that the network I have built will carry me far if I continue to nurture it.

    - Global experiences:
    With 7 offices worldwide and a truly global team, at Vungle you will have the chance to learn about cultures and people from every corner of the globe.
    The travel opportunities are rewarding. While the Sales Team does travel more than most teams to see our customers, the Vungle Exchange Program allows every Vungler the chance to visit an office of their choosing for one week. Regional Summits in exciting destinations aim to connect our teams and build friendships and partnerships across territories.

    - Potential :
    Vungle has made huge strides in the last year and video advertising is now clearly validated in the industry, but there is more to grow and a bigger story yet to tell.
    Still an independent company with big dreams, Vungle has the opportunity to make history if we can focus and execute.

    - Innovation:
    The work of our Vungle Creative Labs Team has set us apart. I am proud to show our customers, friends and family what we do and love the importance we place on paring great creative with data.

    - Working through Leadership changes in Engineering, which has lead to culture concerns and tension with other departments.
    - Tenure sits very much within Sales and Operations and these teams have carried a lot of weight for a long time.
    - Growing pains have made it evident that some are not meant for a company of this size or run rate.
    - At times, we have been too slow to hire and pull in adequate resources, which has put a heavy load on select teams and at times compromised work/ life balance.

    -Continue developing a track for individual contributors. Not everyone can or wants to manage a team, and to retain our experts we have to support growth for all types of roles and skill sets.

    - Help your employees understand their equity. It's fantastic that every employee can become a share holder, but there is still work to do to educate all employees on how and when to exercise options, while considering market and tax differences.

    Most of the personnel tenure is located in Sales/Sales Ops/Creative.
    Other departments have a mix which means some are at different stage of development. I'm watching those departments change into what they'll be for the long term and it's exciting.

    Attractive equities
    Realistic and team based bonus plan for sales
    Complete transparency over company results and performance and weekly sync with the CEO and HQ.
    Zain Jaffer is very inspirational, motivating and surprisingly available to discuss any concerns with all the employees.
    Motivating and fair management allowing people to use their own true potential to perform.
    Performance is not evaluated only on the numbers.
    Work hard, party hard!

    Balance work / life is really hard to maintain; joining Vungle is like joining a new family.
    Multiple meetings San Francisco / Berlin meaning that some days start really early or finish really late.
    Since Vungle has been showing an exponential growth over the last 18 months some details are a little bit behind such as the IT infrastructure outside the HQ.
    People know they are let go an hour or less before.

    Keep being transparent about company results and performance.
    Keep a strong link between San Francisco HQ & the International offices.
    You have a true dream team in sales, make sure the product remains competitive.

    Pros

    Great management, great employees, energy and transparency.
    Vungle is a company which prides itself on being a great company, not cutting corners, and supporting it's employees.

    Kontras

    Very, very, very few.
    There could be better work/life balance but I have my self to blame for that as I get a lot of enjoyment from the work I do here.

    Pros

    I worked in Vungle's London office for 4.25 years, playing a role in hockey stick shaped revenue growth, headcount growth and product development. I was promoted twice and was able to work on a long and diverse list of projects in addition to my core sales responsibilities. Throughout my tenure, colleagues became friends, working together and celebrating the wins together in pursuit of a shared goal; to deliver on the company's tremendous opportunity in the in-app advertising space.

    The Sales team travel extensively to client and conference events, so this may be problematic if you prefer an office based role.

    - Leadership is a self-reinforcing bubble that pushes its own preconceptions of productivity rather than taking in employee feedback
    - Ex. to above: new office workplace, while upscale and "representative of the company's bright future" is a significant challenge to employees commuting from outside of the city
    - Ex. to above: an inflexibly strong stance against remote work, citing the importance of "physical visibility"
    - Suggestions encouraging employees to write positive reviews "to offset the bad ones on Glassdoor" highlight the company's approach to public image efforts
    - These issues (and the associated turnover rate) appear to hover around the SF office - other offices have many 3+ year employees, but the SF office has very few

    Engineering:
    - Openings in management are invariably external hires rather than internal promotion which recognizes the value of individuals' knowledge base and mastery of the company product
    - Management hires tend to be connections to existing management, reinforcing a top-down "yes man" engineering org that creates its own bubble impervious to employee feedback
    - Usually, the above results in teams "onboarding their manager", accentuating resentment
    - Projects and tasks are prioritized somewhat indiscriminately, due to a lack of sources of actual product knowledge (employees with real product knowledge have long since left due to problems with the aforementioned management)
    - Morale is low across the board due to a combination of the above - even as new hires come in each week, company veterans seek greener pastures

    Before you attempt to take this review down, please consider that your actions affect a group far larger than your own, both professionally and in their livelihood. These people want to do meaningful work, but feel they are being held back by circumstances beyond their control.
    Ultimately, you may stifle the spread of awareness beyond the company, but so long as the company's true direction remains the same dissent and dissatisfaction will continue to grow from within.
