    - Great ideas for company identity - Most of the people is friendly. -Above average salary and benefits - Internal hackathons and events - Lots of knowledge base. Has internal tech talks and knowledge sharing is a very important thing. - Growing company - Horizontal company. You can ask any team and are expected to make your own decisions.

    In paper it sounds good but it has terrible execution. - Company culture is great but often clashes with objectives and is lost in work. - Terrible lack of direction.     You cant expect to grow if people flee from the company. There cant be wars between teams. There needs to be a profound revision on workplace procedures and try to ensure that its a friendly place to work. Is a shame that a good base like this is going to waste. The most important thing is that you should value FAAAAR more how people work rather than the amount of work they do. The tech debt will keep increasing but...

    Very talented tech team. Almost everyday you learn new stuff and aspects of the work. Good software quality culture. Code Reviews, Tech Talks, etc

    A bit too much "follow the leader" direction. Sometimes changing or unclear goals. Unrealistic planning and blurred product definition

    Avoid knowledge champions, at least 2 employees should be comfortable with every significant code component. Letting just one person to be the owner of a component will make the team too dependant on that person, and that in general is not a good idea.

    - Awesome technical team, you will learn a lot from your fellows, specially if you take coding review with the correct aptitude - Conferences, tech talks, training - Open management (weekly meeting with updates and new features rolling) - Free beverage, including coffee!!! ;) - Competitive salary

    Pros

    Culture based on excellence, not only empty words, but meaningful actions. They place a high bar to be hired, so everyone here is really smart. And it shows. The company encourages peer pressure, so you've got to be ready to accept criticism and being challenged on every decision. But at the same team, the focus is on the team and not the individual, so you can count on your mates to be helpful instead of disruptive....

    The pay is competitive for Spain, but you could make much more abroad, although the cost of living in Madrid is quite lower than in London, e.g. So it's not as bad as it seems. The kind of culture in Tuenti is not for everyone. To get something (promotions, raises, interesting assigments) you must first prove you deserve it, and then go for it. This isn't a place for people used to do simply what they're being told....

    Pros

    In Spain, Tuenti is probably one of the best companies to work in if you are an engineer. There you'll be able to face some great technical challenges and grow as a professional. Salaries are also good and both the top management and the product team is getting better, after changing its CEO and its Head of Product.

    Kontras

    Being bought by Telefonica has imposed a change of character and focus in the company, although it has given it the resources it needs to grow.

    You hire the best professionals around -trust them. Don't lean just on the opinion of the top management or the Product team, but be open to feedback from your users and your engineers.
