    Top Hat has tons of potential! It has an amazing product, great culture, and can definitely go on to do great things in higher education. HOWEVER, water runs downhill. The eccentric founder is still the CEO of the company and is woefully inadequate on all fronts to lead the company. I would highly suggest immediately looking for alternatives to the current CEO.

    Great people. Teams on the AM side were great, inclusive, energetic and helpful. Catered lunches were great and the building itself had a ton of amenities. Very smart individual contributors on the eng, and dev team.

    Very confusing goals, very micrometric driven. This made it feel very robotic and nonstrategic. Constant change. Commission, targets, and company direction. High turnover

    Top Hat has become very quick to evolve and adjust based on employee feedback. It has become one of the leading tech companies in Toronto to develop sales talent.     So the pros that have been listed throughout a number of the postings are true. They have a great lunch and beer cart Friday, basically, if you lived in a frat house in college and miss that environment since you've come into the work world this is definitely the place for you.

    If you've ever been in an abusive relationship where they degrade you and the effort you put in (not enough dials means you're lazy rather than strategic), tell you-you're not up to their standards (not aggressive enough in your close/weren't enough of a challenger), try to control your time (No WFH policy to ensure you're tied to the desk), environment and who you socialize with but then just when you're ready to leave...

    Find some way to cash out cause you're losing market position quickly. You will be taken over by an institutional player in short order because the product isn't that differentiated that it can't be replicated and last time I checked Pearson or Mcgraw-Hill isn't banned on like 10% of campuses
