    Pros

    I have worked at TempWorks for five months. To date, I have enjoyed my work experience. As with any company, you are expected to perform and TempWorks is no different (performance based culture). The only difference is that often times, companies do not reward additional hard work; and I have witnessed senior leadership acknowledging that (I am not in management), both monetarily and through recognition. Further, you will never get away from the politics at any given company ...so to expect that you can avoid it everywhere is not a realistic expectation. I have read some of the reviews and regretfully question how much work experience some of these individuals have had due to their comments. That said, I do not dismiss their perceptions, but challenge their expectations.

    Overall, it's been a positive experience. If you want to thrive at TempWorks, you must put in the hard work . With a company this size, everyone must do their part; there is no room to hide and abdicate responsibility. You have to pull your weight.

    Some processes could be perceived as rigid - but I'm not in the know as to why they are the way they are, so it is possible that I'm missing insight.

    Pros

    -Co-workers make the job
    -Middle management is good
    -Free snacks/pop
    -Pretty good benefits
    -BBQs, dessert for employees once a month, potlucks

    Kontras

    -Constantly moving desks
    -No offices available for people who should have an office
    -Workspaces are loud (a lot of people in one room)
    -Upper management is not afraid to fire or write you up over something small. You never know when you might get cut. It leads to a toxic relationship with management.
    -Upper management causes a lot of drama

    Focus on the needs of your employees. A lot of employees fear upper management and that's not a good thing.

    Pros

    It's a great place to work if you are self-motivated and work well with others in a fast pace environment. Someone who wants this job should be able to pivot quickly and be able to multitask. Keep in mind that hard work of this position comes with the benefits of flexibility, understanding management, and the freedom to control your own success.

    There are times when you work long hours but it is often rewarded (many times with additional PTO).

    Pros

    TempWorks is a great company for which to work. I love the ability to have input as to how to make things even more efficient. We are on a path of great growth and employee input is a vital part of that growth. Because TempWorks is not "stuck in their ways", unlike a lot of companies in our industry, we are able to be more flexible with customer and prospect needs. The software solution, in addition to the payroll processing option, is the best in the industry.

    Pros

    Culture is fast paced, fun, supportive, and listens to and embraces new ideas.

    The client service is superior. The care exhibited by employees toward our clients is amazing. They truly take ownership to ensure every client is provided with guidance, solutions and most of all happy.

    The flexibility and work-life balance is great and definitely a model company for others to follow.

    You see examples of our strong and unique team environment everywhere you turn. Employees are always stepping up for a new challenge, cross training and supporting other functions as needed, and working together to support our mission.

    As a new employee it can be somewhat overwhelming to navigate the culture, expectations, and pace of the company. Perhaps a mentor or buddy alignment program for a new employee's first 60-90 days could be beneficial and add-on to the already great team environment that is embraced.

    Pros

    Fun and fast-paced environment for someone who really wants to dive in and learn. It's a large enough company to provide plenty of career opportunities and growth but small enough to not be bogged down by red tape and bureaucracy.

    Co-workers here are really great but it does take a little while to settle in and get accustomed to the company culture.

    Really impressed with the experience and knowledge that the management team possesses. Many of them have been with the company for 10 years or more and it shows in their leadership that they are truly invested in the company and its employees. Keep up the good work!

    Pros

    Positions at TempWorks Software are what you make them. If you work hard and have great customer service skills, you can go far. That's one of my favorite things about TempWorks - there are so many opportunities to advance and grow different skillsets.
    Management is always willing to help out their employees. When I was new, I had the COO come and ask my teammates and I if we needed help with anything - and it was a genuine offer of help. I wasn't used to management being open to helping "entry level" employees! I've become used to management helping everyone and willing to answer any question, but I don't take it for granted.
    TempWorks also has benefits like a stocked snack room, BBQs in the summer, year end parties, and health and fitness challenges.

    This is an extremely fast paced environment that can change quickly so it's not for everyone.
    Due to regular business, quarter and year end can get really busy so sometimes you feel there isn't enough hours in the day.

    I have been at TempWorks for quite some time. I still learn something new every day. TempWorks is like a huge family. Everyone cares, respects and does whatever they can to help their coworkers. Sometimes it can seem like survival of the fittest, but that means you get to work with the smartest, most talented people. You learn best by working with people smarter than you! I cannot picture myself working anywhere else! I hope to have a very long career at TempWorks.

    It gets busy. When it does get busy there could be extra hours. The extra hours are not required but most employees want to do whatever they can to be sure customers are taken care of.

    Keep up the forward progress. TempWorks has the best, most flexible software available. Keep expanding the possibilities for 3rd party integrations so customers can integrate other packages to stay ahead of their competitors.
