    Pros

    Great benefits (PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision, 401k Match). Flexible for work/life balance (Work From Home). Competitive pay above scale.

    Kontras

    No sales/product direction in the North American market. Germany management dictates and USA management tows the line. Not competitive price wise with the MSP market and products are a step behind other solutions. Too much convolution/red tape in implementation of solutions.

    Please plead your case to Germany management that the North American market is much different than the European market. There are a bunch of talented folks working there just waiting to dominate the North American market if you could just let them without the Germany leash.

    * global projects * chances to travel / expat internationally * good culture within teams * work-from-home is an option available, depending on your role * pretty decent benefits

    * poor international cooperation between HQ in Germany and international entities * working on global projects, sometimes territorial conflicts block progress * hard to push innovation in well established areas

    Be open for innovation coming from newly acquired companies and be open for compromise. Also, make your homework before giving presentations in other countries/cultures. I still remember an introductory speech of a German manager in the US: "...we are hardly working to improve..."

      Start out with Executive Mgmt....lack of leadership, say one thing do another. Say they believe in work/life relationship, and even Work From Home, but in reality, would rather have everyone in the office and watched under scrutiny. Pay in some areas was competitive, in IT for the Arizona and Michigan areas was about 10% under market. Their IT model is about 3-5 yrs behind competition, and it takes too long to build...

      Everyone from Managing Director on down need need to review whether they really know what the heck they are doing. The sales model they have is outdated, the IT strategy is "lets just keep it going, and as long as I dont hear any problems, I am good." You need to be innovative!! It should not take 3-6 weeks to build a server, and the "cloud" technology is outdated, get up to speed!!

      Fire all Sale team, align to Germany scheme and processes and stop trying to fit standards into Classic accounts that is why we don’t have profit, also SDM’s are more worried about saving than getting more business
