    Pros

    - Good place to start as a junior / trainee. You will get access to interesting projects and get some experience. - Good companies in their portfolio. If lucky, you get access to challenging projects (make sure to ask for which account you will be working for). - Softtek's pool is both a good and bad thing. Good, I saw people stay there for months while being reassigned to other projects. - Somehow easy to move... across projects, which offers new experiences - There is a low percentage, but they exist. some projects running through the clients' mind are interesting and challenging. - Onsite stays / trips are rather easy to accomplish.

    - This is a company based on 90s IT standards. Do not expect breakthroughs nor innovation to come from here. Your best bet is to have a client who has a good idea. - A lot of legacy projects. They pay the bills for the company, and many people where stuck with really, really old projects. - A lot of the upper management is based not on qualifications, but basically because they "stayed for years". - Softtek... itself has no identity nor own standards. Whatever is good for the clients, is good for the project. - Senior roles are close to non-existent. Seniors I met where just people who didnt bother to move to another company/city. - Many, many layers of management. - Poor benefits

    - Trainees are at some point taken in at an excessive amount. - PLs, Tech leads, DMs, Division leads, sometimes it seems way too much for this bureaucracy to be in place. - Small improvements can retain employees and ideas are there (an acquaitance of mine quit because she got tired of going to dirty bathrooms). Execute some of them.

    Good work Culture Easy access to management Good Hikes if you have recognition in Company Good company to join as Fresher , You will get Internal projects to work end to end. Cab and other Facilities.

    working shift is not good , you need to work in 2-11 shift. Most project are supports project , if you are into coding not a good choice. Work pressure depends on Manager you are working with.

    Pros

    Solid benefits. Softtek partners with large companies for large projects. Salary is reasonable but not fantastic.

    Kontras

    Leadership and management is very, very cheap so if you are in the USA and a citizen, you can expect that you will replaced by cheaper Mexican or Indian workers in time. They gain contracts with large companies using US technicians and then keep projects going by reducing their costs each year replacing US technicians with off shore technicians at every opportunity. If you are a US technician hired by them,... expect to be given about 2 months to train your replacement when contracts come for renewal with their client.

    Full disclosure would be to continue to do whatever you think best to be as profitable and successful as possible. Just realize that replacing native English speaking IT professionals with those with very challenged English for US based companies to lower your costs will eventually catch up to you.

    Pros

    Softtek is a company with interesting projects in which you have the opportunity to learn and improve your development skills, English and professional growth. The advantages are the work environment, the games and the power to move to another team when you feel that you no longer have growth Also you can reach an agreement to have home office

    It does not have the best features compared to other companies, when your project is over you can spend a lot of time in pool and your salary improves even though you deserve it, it is very slow and you do not always make an economic proposal that is worth it.

    Pros

    It is easy to get in, and the company organizes multiple recrational events every few weeks if you are into that kind of thing. They also usually offer you higher net salaries than other companies.

    There are many, really. Let's start with the moneyz. This company is cheap. Maybe in other locations like Monterrey and Aguascalientes they can get away with the benefit plan they're offering, but they really fall short when compared with their big competitors like HCL and amdocs, just to mention a couple (the end of year bonus is laughable at best, specially if you don't get in the savings plan... but then again,... that's your own money already earned). They pay in a mixed scheme in order to save taxes, they have multiple legal entities to avoid profit sharing, if you have the bad luck of being unassigned from a proyect, you better find a new one within a couple of months because they don't have the budget to keep you in pool for more than that. So yeah, cheap. And the situation in Guadalajara isn't particularly helpful since the branch is very small and Corporate doesn't seem to care about it at all. Now for the environment: There's. So. Much. Bureaucracy, seriously. Specially if you're in opeations, the amount of time management takes from you is absurd. You have constantly fill reports and attend meetings to comply with Softtek's internal processes. Management gets in the way A LOT. Also it seems to me that the corportate culture is focused towards management employees while leaving interests from operation employees, which ironically are the majority, pretty much unattended. And finally, the main account they have in Guadalajara is very unstable and that alone would be enough of a reason to avoid considering Softtek Guadalajara as an option since you most probably will end up working with this client and be fired in less than six months.

    Thrive to really be the best local option, both for customers and employees. And get more accounts in Guadalajara because, seriously, DXC is going to collapse at any moment
