Ich habe für mehr als ein Jahr bei SOS International gearbeitet (Vollzeit)

    Pros

Great concept , but poorly executed. Great pay! They are one of the few companies that pay bi-weekly. It was a very great opportunity for me. I believe that is a good company to work for.

    Kontras

Management still behaves as if they were still in the military, Most of them have little to no people skills. Poorly staffed, at least it was in my department.

    Rat an das Management

Go BIG, or go HOME! Conversation / dialect should be a 2 way street, not my way or the highway!

Ich arbeite seit mehr als 3 Jahren bei SOS International (Vollzeit)

    Pros

A fair amount of freedom with responsibility Dialogue between employees and management is constructive and open Compensation is generally upper middle (for Denmark). Top of the line for the call center in CPH specifically Management are fairly transparent with the regards to which direction they want to take the company.

    Kontras

Several indicators of a company that enjoys a fair amount of success, and grows a bit faster than its geared for: Every department is cronically overworked, but especially middle management are stretched thin. Various parts of the business are moving towards acting as a single company (ever so slowly). But in an environment that is still very much dictated by the fact that SOS consist of many different aquired... businesses, under the same umbrella, there is still much to be done.

    Rat an das Management

The Strategy of the company as a single entity, rather than six different division, needs more focus The company has reached a size where formalisation of internal processes and a transparent internal cost structure is essential to further improvement. Middle and upper management needs to be presented with the actual cost of the decisions they make, summed up across the entire business.

Ich habe für mehr als 10 Jahre bei SOS International gearbeitet (Vollzeit)

    Pros

Great colleagues in an environment where helping the end-user on behalf of the clients (insurance companies) is the key focus.

    Kontras

Frequent changes in strategy, focus and management over the past years have left some staff bewildered of what is the meaning of it all

    Rat an das Management

Walk the talk and listen to the value of the feedback from all staff.

Ich habe für mehr als ein Jahr bei SOS International gearbeitet (Teilzeit)

    Pros

Great work environment. Great colleagues. Great perks. There is a general mentality of flexibility and helpfulness. Variation of tasks and cases. Laid back working culture. You never take work home.

    Kontras

Limited possibilities for a career unless you go into other administrative areas (finance, HR etc). High turnover of student-staff (this is expected, and part of the business model). Work is limited to cases, so there are few or no long-running projects.

    Rat an das Management

Management is doing a good job and always felt well treated. One possibility might be to be better at retaining student-staff by catering to their academic (and other) skills, through research opportunities, or other collaborations.

Ich arbeite bei SOS International ()

    Pros

Good opportunity to help the military

    Kontras

SOSi hired people, who quit their other jobs, stating that they had won a contract. In fact, there were PROMISED the contract, and NEVER got it. So a majority of people were let go after only a month or two- right before the holidays. And they then convinced the government that a few people coudl stay on the government payroll for weeks and weeks and weeks, doing next to nothing while sitting at thier house. That... is a desparate company trying to apy their bills.

Management should not take expensive trips half way around the world that just waste money And they should not lie to their employees.
