    Commission Based sales should allow you to control your destiny

    Company stopped all commissions Nov 2018 and is in the process of trying to fix errors, or were they errors. Customer currently owes me $80,000+ but is not paying. Complex pay plan to confuse most reps has backfired into confusing the compensation team.

    A little SHOCKED to hear that after all these years, the reviews here STILL find it’s an Old Boys Network and it’s all about who you know. Very sad to see this is still prevalent in today’s culture. You need to give EVERYTHING you have to succeed here. I’ve missed family and friends funerals bc of the demand from management. Am extremely happy to leave this part of my life behind.

    Pitney Bowes is evolving from a company known for mail machines to a true technology solutions company. Management is good at communicating the company vision and strategy. The pay structure is competitive and the benefits are excellent.

    My experience was Pitney Bowes is trying to do to many things at the same time, which caused some confusion. They have gone through a couple of sales cut backs and reduced the outside sales force to almost nothing.

    This company has taught a very important and it's that just because you are a certain age doesn't mean you can't lead! Pitney is still the leader in mailstream solutions and will be for a long time. Innovation is key and we are doing just that everyday!

    I do hope that one day organizations in general follow the ideas of their front line staff and field representatives. As a client facing employee I feel that all the tools should be handed to me vs other parts of the organization. That's a con for most companies.

    Autonomy- to be able to work own schedule

    Commissions are NOT paid when owed! They expect you to work long days and travel a lot. Their service is known for being horrible! It is almost impossible to strum up new business. You have a forecast/budget that is impossible to make, there fore you are NEVER eligible for bonus and rarely ever make commissions. You are forced to sign infinite compensation plans than change throughout the year. Your job is always... in jeopardy. BE AWARE! The stability is NOT what is used to be at Pitney Bowes.

    Listen to your Sales people...Stop trying to make the impossible budgets happen. Look at reasonable budgets. Appreciate your teams! STOP CUTTING SERVICE! STOP OUTSOURCING TO INDIA! Clients want to talk to REAL people, not a computer! Thet want "LIVE" service! This is where you are missing the boat! You are losing business to your competition because they have REAL LIVE SERVICE people.
