    Pros

Great company to obtain skills and build your resume. Excellent benefits and slightly above average pay. I would recommend Pitney Bowes as a stepping stone to add skills and competencies to your personal skill base, but I would not consider this company as a long term employment solution any longer. The Customer Care division's future is questionable based on outsourcing initiatives and continued restructures to... reduce headcount to improve revenue goal attainment and to increase stock value.

    Kontras

Very change driven environment with a largely new executive level leadership. Direction and future for the US mailing division of this organization is a concern. Work/life balance for management has become almost non-existent. Myself and a number of my peers in management were investing 70-80 hours per week due to workload.

    Pros

Good time off, competitive pay for industry. Stable with renewed potential for growth

    Kontras

Declining in marketplace. Little innovation. Bureaucratic, difficult to get things done, constant shift in direction, leadership changes direction-emphasis frequently. The company always puts there interests in front of employee.

    Rat an das Management

Stay on track, create a focus and invest in it-rebrand your self and market it aggressively

    Pros

They have different divisions available for potential employees. However, I would focus on software as they really seem to be making a shift to become more like an IBM.

    Kontras

Constant change is the name of the game. In 2013 their SMB (Mail) division went through a major restructuring. The entire sales force, reps and management, had to re-interview for available positions. This restructuring process was completed November, 2013. On April 8, 2014, only 4.5 months later, they announced the entire Territory Sales team was being eliminated. This impacted between 300-400 people I believe.... To have people re-interview, receive a position, and then eliminate their positions within 5 months is wrong. This seems to be the M.O. for many of the changes going on right now. Additionally in April, they announced the sale of it's Canadian Document Imaging group to Konica Minolta which impacted another 300 employees. Management claims to have a strategic direction. However, the employees do not really seem to understand the direction and are concerned as to if they are part of that direction.

I think management will get this ship righted at some point. However, please remember that these are employees with families and responsibilities, not pawns in a chess match. The comments I hear from employees regarding these changes have nothing to do with strategic direction or Impact 2017, but are instead about executives maximizing their income and bonus opportunities. The “vision” is not clear throughout... the organization.

    Pros

some wonderful people, but rare. lot's of potential, but it can feel like a slowly sinking ship as mail volumes and reltated service decline - maybe the new CEO can turn things around

    Kontras

lots of mediocrity and and politics and senior management not help accountable (that may be changing)

    Pros

Fliexible work hours, work life balance

    Kontras

Im-mature and in-experienced top management, absolutely lack of transparency, no value to parent company, you can only survive if you are YES man

    Rat an das Management

grow-up, get right people at right job, let there be transparency between US and India, realize your capabilities and avoid the 'Yes Sir you are always right culture'

    Pros

Used to be a family company, paid attention to employee satisfaction, provided training, lots of opportunities if you were willing to stick your neck out.

    Kontras

Too man new senior management, they are not getting to know existing employees, they just keep bringing new employees , HR is almost non existent. There is black cloud in the atmosphere.

    Rat an das Management

Your greatest asset are your employees, pay attention to them.

    Pros

With a new CEO and a technologically advanced workforce, Pitney Bowes is well positioned for future growth! I find myself challenged, engaged and supported every day. What I really like is that my prior experience is valued, so many times when you join a new organization, especially an established one like PB, people are not interested in hearing about epxeriences at previous companies - I am asked repeatedly for... my opinion and "how did your former employer handle this?"

    Kontras

The businesses are fairly siloed from one another, but that is evolving quickly.

    Pros

Independent charge gives you the freedom to strategise and work according to your ideas. Failure does not mean you get fired like most American companies. Work environment is very good amongst IT, and people respect each other for what they are and not for rank.

    Kontras

Sometimes non-performers get to stay on, as the company is not too harsh on them. Need to have stronger marketing in emerging markets

    Rat an das Management

Stay focused on your business to ensure you rise once the depression moves on

    Pros

Pay structure Flexibility with work/life balance Strong desire to take the next step forward, even when currently operating in a shrinking market

    Kontras

Poor overall communication Long term planning doesn't exist, follow through on plans is weak Too heavy of a focus on band-aid repairs

    Rat an das Management

Figure out a long term plan, at least a 5-10 year Put it into place and follow through on it Keep all the employees informed, even of the bad ..... when you state you want to be transparent and open, do so The problems it will create will be dwarfed by the long term benefit
