    Pros

    Traditional big company with a very mature process, which helps new employees get on board very fast. The Corporative Culture empowers you to take decisions and to feel free to propose new ideas.

    There is few space to grow, since for them, is better to be 6 year in the same position than have been in 3 position during the same time. Many benefits are for the family, leaving the workers who are not married without benefits.

    I’ve been a part of the Purina Nestle team for two months now and I can say that I truly enjoy and love coming to work everyday! This company cherishes its employees—you can tell by the passion that the employees have for this company. Everyone is approachable and helpful. Wonderful benefits, flexible work schedules, bringing pets to work, health clinic on campus and volunteer opportunities are only a few of the great benefits. This is definitely one of the best places to work!

    Directors hoard information. VEREO has made this worse as they work to keep themselves relevant at the expense of their own subordinates. If the idea was to truly increase span of control at the lower level, there has been no attempt to measure and improve this goal. There is no way to get a smoke signal out to leadership on anything, leaving us to air our dirty laundry here. My senior leader spoke to our group one time in the last 18 months.

    We recently launched a great program to develop Women in Leadership, but there has never been an attempt made to develop any leaders before this. As a male, I would love to have any focus on this for myself - but sadly, there is no way to raise this issue now without coming across as misogynistic. Senior leadership (in the name of Agility) holds a 90 minute meeting with a key group once a month. By the time we meet again, the world has changed and there is no continuity or updates on the previous content. How do we know if anything is working? General McChrystal held these meetings daily, and the content came from the ground up and the top down. Think operational tempo, this is happening later tonight, and the next day you hear the outcome of the operations, and what is working/not working. Agility requires transparency, information, and timely interactions. Senior leaders are not engaging with mid-level managers at the corporate level in skip level "one on one" conversations at all. Skip level "one on one's" are critical to ensuring the culture permeates, and that directors do not become tyrannical. If this company wants to be truly Agile, senior leaders need to get out of the tactical space, and into the people space. Let go of the decision making, and let the experts, and people lead. Get out to the different departments on Campus and engage now, before it's too late. You need to see our work in order to appreciate it.
