    Pros

    MBI provides a great work environmental for employees, with very flexible hours and the IT system to successfully work remotely. A few days after you start, they have bagels at your work area so that you can meet your co-workers in a relaxed manner. Good benefits, and interesting work. They foster diversity, there are a lot of women, including women in executive and management positions.

    Kontras

    No cons, other than what one typically finds in any consulting firm. Employees need to understand that it's a business, requiring billability and proficiency. Employees need to invest some of their personal time to master new skills, in order to excel.

    Benefits, travel reimbursed, decent pay

    Kontras

    Management is incredibly incompetent, barely able to function. Constantly rescheduling last minute to save their own. HR shows no initiative to promote from within, only care about bringing on new staff to keep up with high turnover. No incentive to do a good job, management clearly shows disinterest in projects. Understaffed. Amount of travel was grossly understated. Pay is ok, but not great.

    Easy to get hired, unfortunately it's due to their inability, or lack of desire, to keep good staff as they mistreat them.

    Kontras

    No support by senior management. Keep inept and lazy staff, including management. Overwork good staff, then throw them under the bus once they "catch on". Every project is understaffed, or staffed with too many unqualified people, setting up project managers for failure. Management is much less trustworthy than industry average. Values? What values...

    The reason your reputation on the street is terrible, and your voluntary turnover is ridiculously high, is directly due to your poor decisions. Continuously throwing good people under the bus is not a good business model. Remember, employees are the business.

    It's a paycheck, and they typically pay well for those that fit their "standard mold". Unless you are a specialist in your field.

    When your Directors call their employees liabilities and say they are the "high performers" yet deliver 1's on their review, you are definitely not sending the right message. When your Regional leadership scream at employees, it doesn't foster the best of environments.

    Pros

    Very flexible in work hours and allow working from home. When the office is slow they pull in work from other offices in the company.

    Managers are disconnected from the rest of the employees. Managers promote a culture of safety violations. When safety violations were reported to the department head, the workplace became very hostile. When employees say they have an offer for another company, management fights to keep male employees but doesn't try very hard to keep female employees. All field work is out of town, requiring overnight trips for...

    Pursue projects employees actually want to work on. Working at the top 5 bridge design firm in the country, but only performing load ratings and inspections is underwhelming. Develop a training plan for junior engineers other than "whatever projects we happen to have."

    Pros

    Fairly easy to get hired...they have such a revolving door that they're always looking for people.

    Kontras

    Revolving door at the upper management level = pervasive insecure feeling throughout company. They just booted their COO...although he'd been in the position a record 2+ years....this coming a year after terminating 4 senior/executive vice presidents. Legacy employees get the shaft on salary. People that left the company and are rehired (sometimes years later) are making more than current staff in the same position....

    Pros

    They had work.... They did have a good medical insurance policy..... Salary is competitive for their market, but it is nothing like it was 5 years ago.

    Upper Management including PMs were usually very unqualified and the company would take it out on the construction management and construction end. They would always lower pay and try to stifle your 'position' then pull you back in as a lower grade to do work that was above your grade or skill level that they were paying you for. They would host workers jobs as a shell game and trick people all the time.

    Reshuffle management and try to keep people around by offering training and advancement, most professional individuals left on a very short stint realizing it was a potentially dead end career with lots of stress.

    Meeting new people from diverse cultures

    Poor , unethical and incompetent management placed in position by friends. Presence of prostitution and alcohol on premises. Corrupt project management.
