      - Nice people - ‎Great benefits - ‎Good salary (although at some point you realize you are losing your value staying in this company) - ‎Low stress environment - Overall great place to retire

      TLDR: aggressive non compete clause, lack of creative freedom, big and slow corporation, boring tasks, obsolete tech, small career advancement opportunities. - 3 month notice period + 3 month non-compete period is not used to protect the company. Instead it's aggresively used to bully people who is quitting and scare people who is thinking to quit. Non-compete is even applied, if you go outside of mobile game industry....

      - Flexible hours, no overtime - Nice colleagues and (too?) relaxed atmosphere - Decent salary, benefits and office amenities

      - The proprietary game engine they force teams to use is just awful and turns any simple task into a long, unrewarding and frustrating process - When you want to leave the company, they'll make it as difficult and painful for you as possible, and in some cases won't even shy away from breaking local laws and regulations - Unfair, top-down decision making process; all important decisions are made by upper management...

      Stop focusing solely on growth and numbers. Allow for true innovation by using decent, industry proven game engines to experiment and fail fast. Retain talent by making the Berlin studio a nice place to work instead of bullying people who decide to leave.

      I believe that the compensation is at least not below average, and the office facilities and amenities are above average.

      King requires a 3 MONTH notice period + a 3 MONTH non-compete period as part of signing up as an employee. King has sever employee retention issues and now aggressively enforces this HALF A YEAR exclusion as a (misguided) way to stem their bleeding. Recently King has even begun to push non-competes on employees going to companies in tangentially related industries, so don't expect to escape by getting out of the gaming...

      Please be transparent to the employees: 800% of growth in the last 4 years was just part of the master plan to sell King to another company. It simply doesn't make sense to bloat such an once competitive company, making millions a day to a company that can't barely ship 3 or 4 games per year.       Pros

      King hires good people and the culture in the studio I work in is great. People are friendly and welcoming and seem good at what they do - there's a diverse culture with a lot of different perspectives. This is a good place to learn! You get to travel as well, although it is not mandatory. The offices are fun too and they offer great internal programmes where you can transfer. Good work life balance too.

      There is so much growth, which is good and bad. Good because things change frequently and there is good energy, but bad because some of the middle managers have been promoted too quickly. They have grown so fast that people get lots of responsibility quickly, but some of those should not have that responsibility...
