    Pros

    - Some very talented and unique individuals, very dedicated to their work.
    - Financially stable company with no outside influence. Financially very well managed.
    - Clever upper management who understand technology, industry, customers and how the company operates.
    - Has historically been very horizontal in structure which allows excellence and uniqueness, but as it grows, is becoming more vertical with more managers.
    - Most managers (including low and med) are actual workers and not just 'managing'.
    - Does in house development very well.
    - Does product technology very well.

    Kontras

    - Can be some strong inter department resentment, blockers, difficulty in working towards the same objectives.
    - Can have some people (more so in the Trakcare side than the data side), who don't have a very good understanding of how software can (negatively) impact on end users. Some disconnect from coal face through departments to the upper.
    - Can be very technologically driven and orientated, this can be reflected in the product(s)- as some aspects are not very intuitive or easy to use (from an end user point of view).

    Rat an das Management

    - The solution to any is to not put in more management. Rather, put in more do'ers- application & product specialists, technical specialists, SMS's, developers. That is, keep management to a minimum please.

    open career opportunities, great people, nice location of the office. good work life balance, flat management structure, rather stable company overall

    Kontras

    you have to define your own roles and carve out your niche. you have to have a strong mind. parking sucks and is very expensive. compensation is not competitive compared to the level of praise the give theor employees. it always sounds like everybody is better than google/fb/amazon, but pay isnt.
    open office floorplans in support, noise from people on the phones travels too far, cant concentrate on your work.
    mostly forced to work in the office, no wfh

    get rid of the open offices, adjust salaries to be competitive with other big name companies. less holding on to bad people

    Pros

    This is a stable, privately owned company that values its workers and their development. The culture is great and the people super sharp. It's really a great place to work.

    Kontras

    The company is growing and changing recently and some people can be slow to comfortable with change. But these are all normal growing pains.

    Pros

    The two positive things that are still existing , it is an American company and the headquarter is based in Boston and it is fortunate for the employees that the CEO and the senior top management are not the same as the ones in Dubai office .
    Also most of the employees are high caliber .

    Many decisions are politically driven and the Dubai office is becoming more as an environment that is driven by politics rather than good ideas .They claim to be guided by values but completely influenced by few people that are having very close relationship and are putting their personal interests over everything else and completely busy with building a network of influence .Few of the senior management members try to establish relationships with HR and Finance to get access to confidentiality information that they are not eligible to .
    Focus and simplicity are missing and some departments like Marketing still with no vision and clear accomplishments . In the past two years , Marketing didn’t even call for a single meeting or distributed an email to brief about their activities in the region , but it is tolerated. Transparency and openness are not embraced. Departments are working in silos , there is no cohesiveness , they do just pretend that they are working together but in fact this is not their mindset or business culture.
    The worst department is what they call Edition , no one is allowed to say a clear opinion or raise a complain.

    We don’t have leaders , so be good leaders or try to get one , do you know who you are and what you stand for apart from your ego interests. Do you let the people in the office know and understand which values you are committed to uphold.

    Different management in local offices can give competition between departments in hiring internal people

    In the beginning there was a very light management structure, which is becoming heavier. InterSystems needs to watch out that it will not turn into heavy bureaucracy

    Coming from a Microsoft shop previously, the lack of vast amounts of online knowledge about the products can seem limiting at first, but there is a very active small community which can help
