    Ich habe für mehr als ein Jahr bei InVision gearbeitet (Vollzeit)

    Pros

    Typical remote tech pluses: Flexible schedule, work from anywhere with WiFi, unlimited vacation, etc. Plus a well-known name that looks great (for now) on a resume. If you can put aside the stress and chaos, there's a good amount of work-life balance.

    Kontras

    Leadership is just unbelievably bad. There is no strategy coming down from the top. The marketing department has so many different activities going at any given time that all of it comes out a little half baked. From a work standpoint, goals aren't clear, campaign performance isn't clear, what success looks like isn't clear. From a career standpoint, there is no career path, no clear idea of how to get promoted (or... sometimes even noticed by upper management). Middle managers aren't given the training they need to actually be managers and support teams, which results in turnover and demoralized employees.

    Rat an das Management

    Develop strategy at the top and work with the channel owners to flesh it out and implement it down. Stop promoting and hiring high-performing ICs as leaders and instead hire leaders to lead.

    Pros

    Despite being a remote company, the culture is particularly strong and inclusive. InVision is scaling fast and there is always a lot to get done but you have a sense that your role is important and you're part of a team. Joining InVision is a unique experience to get better at your job and learn how to work remotely effectively, something that will be invaluable in years to come.

    If you're not prepared to be flexible or looking to be challenged then this isn't the right place for you. Businesses at this stage don't suit everyone but it's a really supportive place to learn if you show up with the right attitude.

    Pros

    -Incredible culture and team. Supportive, smart, humble, high-performing, and interested in more than personal gain and success. Every hire intimately understands the pain the product is trying to fix and is willing to work to alleviate that pain through really amazing releases, marketing, and process. -Awesome, industry-leading, butt-kicking product. Seriously, the product is freaking awesome. -High standards and... deep integrity. InVision leadership is unwilling to sacrifice the end goal of helping designers/folks in creative services to make a buck. Additionally, everything the team produces is of the utmost quality. -Really rich environment for the "self-managed" professional. InVision is ultra merit-based.. and that merit is 100% in your control to show and prove -"Choose your own adventure" work environment. If you can build it and show value, you can most likely do it. -Great perks!

    -Intensely fast at times. Every team moves super fast and it can be challenging to grow your team and keep up with the pace at the same time. -5x growth in people in less than a year is making communication between departments hard. No time to create the relationships necessary for good cross-functional communication

    Feedback (positive or constructive)—give more of it to everyone! Also, a bit more transparency around people coming/going would be great!
