    Pros

    Bonus, incentives and not just a number. Able to progress well and have a future. Area manager very supportive and when you have visits you feel valued. Depot manager firm but more than fair. Good overall package and great incentive trips for staff. Karting a particular highlight with a trip to Barcelona if you win. Progress is available, started in warehouse moved to counter now a assistant manager. Customers are mainly great.

    High pressure comes with most of the jobs but if you are the right person with good drive and sales skills your be good to go.

    incentives are ok and Sundays are always amazing

    You are made to feel vulnerable and insecure about your future until you have your own depot.
    Depot managers will deliberately tell lies to area managers, HR and security to severely damage your credibility and reputation if they don't like you.
    Managers will recruit their children and friends to work in the same depots as themselves to protect themselves against an external backlash from the staff they choose to intimidate and mistreat daily.
     Putting your trust in HR to act impartially or fairly is like asking KFC to look after your pet chicken.
    Area managers will give depot manager vacancies to their inexperienced friends ahead of far more worthy candidates. It's not what you know, it's who you know.
    Depot managers are on a whole, not very intelligent or professional people. They haven't graduated from university with business management degrees. More often than not, they are just in the position they hold, solely on the grounds that they have friends in higher places.

    I have none, you might as well talk to a brick wall. All they care about is turnover and margin to financially protect their own person futures. They don't care about those that work hard in depots to give them that security.

    Pros

    When the depot is doing well the bonus structure is good.
    Slightly higher than average basic wages.

    Kontras

    Whatever you do it won't be good enough.
    When the depot is behind on figures it's seen as the KSD fault - high pressure to sell.
    You will work your guts out for all of October (sale time).
    No loyalty to it's workforce, seen as dispensable.

    Pros

    Occasional incentives (however some are revoked if the company doesn't hit target)
    Works outings however most are compulsary and after a long shift.
    Getting to work closely with customers and make be part of their kitchen experience.
    Split bonus between all staff, some people believe the staff doing the turn over should get more bonus but I don't fancy picking the kitchen I have just sold myself and I don't have time to drum up the business myself so the equally divided bonus is fair.

    Saturday's off are down to the depot manager some give them religiously others uses them against you.
    Managers spend to much time out of the depot, assistant managers not given proper training to deal with the managers constant absence.
    Training is poor, now an internal learn on your own program that you are never allowed time to actually do.
    Dragged out of the depot to attend pointless area meetings that wastes time and productivity.
    Targets are high and less than half the staff actually pull their weight. If everyone worked equally as hard targets could be met easily.
    In most depots staff are not respected and a lot of managers are bullies. However I have worked for one manager who would stick up for his staff and you were treated very well.
    Managers block their best staff from progressing by bad mouthing them to the staff members potential new manager, if you are lucky enough to even find out about job opportunities, these are usually deleted from the internal email before you get to read them.
    Pressure to sell to the customer before the customer is actually ready, this is damaging to the relationship between the designer and the customer and this pressure usually results in mistakes happening or losing the sale altogether.
    Managers often don't know how to do every role in the depot. But preach about how you should be doing it better.

    To the bullies - treating your staff well will keep them loyal.
    To the lazy ones, sitting behind your desk all day twiddling your thumbs and only actually moving when the area manager turns up but screaming at your exhausted staff for not meeting your ridiculously demands - get off your butts and help out you are another voice on the phone another pair of hands in busy times. Lead by example.
