    The people are hard working, very smart, and incredibly supportive. The free snacks are nice and Bar 8 every Thursday night is a fun perk. Exposure to big clients and other benefits such as a huge discount on Citibike, corporate discounts on Equinox and other gyms, free Ubers and take-out after 8pm, tuition reimbursement, etc.

    There are some ridiculously incompetent people working at Havas. This tells me that the hiring process is nowhere near difficult enough and that as long as you can talk the talk, there's a place for you at Havas. There are many leaders there who barely lift a finger and their account is essentially being run by the junior staff members who are expected to do all of the work. The teams within Havas lack continuity... and there seems to be a different internal protocol for every client rather than a uniform, centralized process. Growth opportunities are also limited. Being promoted seems to be an arduous and exasperating process in that you have to practically plead with upper management to move to the next level. Upper management is also not transparent at all and does not do a good job of communicating with or engaging the junior staff. Issues like turnover are just never addressed and therefore, nothing really ever changes.

    Rat an das Management

    Be more transparent. Show your staff that you are invested in them and value them by rewarding them and recognizing their accomplishments. Use all-hands meetings not to just review a great campaign or a new product feature, but instead to recognize a recent team member's accomplishment (small or large) or foster connections with the team by doing team building exercises. Little things go a very long way to show your... team that they matter.

    Great office, relatively nice people, and plentiful food and drink accomodations

    There is zero leadership in my department. This is not my first agency, and Havas is by far the least organized and lacks the knowledge to move forward in the ad space. They have no control over the accounts and do not know how to use the systems and everything is a straight up mess. Also they don't use Outlook and their internal mail system is an outdated joke.

    Hire more people from the outside. Clearly the people currently at the company have gotten complacent and have no interest in moving forward. Also account teams should all be in the same office - it is not beneficial to anyone to have departments divided between NY and Boston.

    Ummm, the snacks, people are generally nice to your face. The office is kinda nice too. Struggling to get to 20 words

    Arrive there as a supervisor and get no guidance at all from my director. Then when she leaves, my team gets more clients added to their plate. You're run ragged and then reprimanded for non-issues (like turning in an incomplete deck at a midpoint check-in when you clearly stated it wouldn't be finished because you're busy with assistant work)

    Pros

    Great office, really smart people, laid back culture. You will meet great people and your team will become the reason why you stay.

    Kontras

    Teams are spread extremely thin. Client roster is lacking. No vision for what media will become at the agency. Leadership at the C level is not very available, and is lacking in initiative. Perks are nice, but what truly matters is compelling, challenging work and recognition of it.
