    Pros

    There is a lot of room for growth and promotion is typically from within. You can work your way to the top and make great money.

    Kontras

    Previous reviews cite frequent change as a con but without change there isn’t growth so for me it’s positive. Adapting to it may not be for everyone.

    Pros

    Unlimited earning potential for commission
    There is many locations that have a good reputation of providing great customer service
    As a manager I am able to run my location in the way that I see fit (with in company standards of course)

    Kontras

    Very short staffed at most locations, making it impossible to use the vacation time that I have built up.
    There is not enough career advancement

    New hire training needs to be much stronger, the people that get hired on with no wireless or sales experience really struggle for the first 6months - 1year. Completing new hire training in the store (while customers are present), behind a computer, makes it way to difficult to gain all the product knowledge that is needed to do well in this industry...the new hire or person that is struggling to pick up on everything - never becomes 100% comfortable and confident in the sales process, which causes them to produce numbers that aren't up to standard and then they end up just quitting and the store manager gets stuck with going through the whole process again with someone else..

    Pros

    Quick money, working with customers, easy work.

    Management is TERRIBLE! There are 8000 policies and rules, but management does what they want and enforce rules selectively. If you produce, by ethical or unethical means, the rules do not apply. Regional and District managers make up their own rules. Company recently took out a $50M Operating loan, a loan to make payroll and pay bills. Before that, their credit with Verizon was cut off. The company will be gone in a year. Make money while you can. If there is ever a delay with payroll or commissions, leave immediately.

    Friends I made while there

    Worked for this company for over a year. First off things seemed great. A lot of promises, decent pay to start off. Then the Kool-Aid they made me drink started to wear off and things went down hill quick. Commission changed to make sure you do not make money. They took over another company which was suppose to mean we were expanding but nope they put new associates there to die along with the new locations. They became totally money hungry and if you did not do exactly what they told you do then you were expendable. That includes their unethical practices to sell people product they did not want or to add things to peoples account without them knowing. If you did not do these things and your metrics did not reflect it then you were yelled at or written up. If you did not get written up for anything but they wanted you gone then they would do like they did to me. They will make up "paperwork" at put you on a final for no reason. That new location I mentioned also was not updated to even reflect the company name for over a year then not long after I quit I find out they closed down the location out of the blue and fired everyone there. And to put in perspective how bad things were before I quit, the District Manager quit, my store manager quit, all but one store manager quit in a district of 5+ stores and several associates. There is more that I can not think of because as I type I am getting more furious thinking about all the things they have done or not done. DO NOT WORK HERE! you will regret it. Worth place I ever worked.

    CEO Kevin Elder- You need to think about restructuring the company and creating a new team. You need to focus on your associates training, moral and yes even pay. They are your front line if they are happier and better trained and appreciated, they will be more productive. Do not waste all your money on Management they sit at home on a laptop claiming to do their job by sending out none productive emails. I am sure you have heard this before, Sometimes you need to spend Money to Make Money. I worked for a company *excluding name* that the CEO did just this for their associates and they are now the Number 1 Company in their field going from between $30-50$ a share about 5 years ago to almost $190 current this year and growing beating out their competitor who is fighting against going bankrupt by doing their own restructure.

    The people you could potentially work with.

    They constantly change the rules and ways you get paid, you will never get a strait answer. i have been with go wireless for 6 years and it has all just gone down hill from being the biggest retailer for Verizon to number 3, watched them close store after store when the were shoed a better way/location. They have allowed people in power to abuse the power harass people who are under them and continually turn a blind eye to it, if you try to make them aware of it you are told there is a chain of command you have to follow even if it is reporting harassment. They will always say there is opportunities and room for growth yet time and time again when some thing opens up they push their friends into the positions.

    Take the advice of Verizon and treat your employees like they are human as well as don't make it so people cant make money causing them to have to go find something or even make something else, higher better HR reps make sure they know what compassion is.

    Pros

    Lazy DM that sit in back or drive around all day so unless the SM needs you it’s pretty easy

    Kontras

    When the DM and SM are in store your asked to basically convince customers to buy what you need them to in order to get paid. When you get Corperate visits your fake and hurry and fix everything and then go back to normal. HR You can’t trust for anything

    Be a leader not a boss and quit being so fake. Don’t ask your employees to do something you won’t and STOP GOSSIPING, it isn’t getting you brownie points
