    I just can’t think of much other than flexibility.

    I could sit here and talk about the benefit cuts, the lack of raise, the underfunded bonuses, the seemingly erratic decisions of the CEO, the poor organizational structure, awful and overworked management, the lack of REAL transparency, the lack of growth, unlimited pto in the face of understaffing and zero backfilling, or the constant change. Instead, I’ll just call this place what it is: a nervous breakdown of toxicity.

    Management is a mess starting at the executive level trickling down. Management cares more about meeting deadlines than having properly trained employees. If you don’t mind brown nosing, you’ll do just fine. Company values transparency, however, there is none with leadership.     Management needs professional training. They need to go on a retreat to learn what leadership and teamwork is supposed to look like. They need to recognize that morale is in the toilet instead of patting themselves on the back. The company culture that Evolent tries to promote doesn’t exist in the Chicago office.     Good remote work policy, ok salaries

    Kontras

    Leadership has made a bunch of strategic mistakes lately, which have lead to benefits cutting and layoffs (but no leadership losses . . . ) Arlington employees have 3-4x the bonuses as Chicago employees for the same positions. Meetings will always have 3x the number of people necessary. Processes involve so many teams it's almost impossible to just get things done.

    Unlimited PTO, work from home options, competitive 401(k) (if it gets funded), C-level leadership seems transparent and accountable

    This place grew so fast they never bothered to put processes in place. It's unreal how much everything is held together with rubber bands and super glue - you'd expect from a startup but not a "industry leader." Faux leadership, no idea how these people got promoted. Cut benefits and bonuses even when they tell you to your face you're a "star performer."

    Stop operating like two (more?) separate companies. You literally still have Valence IT and two data warehouses. Process and structure are needed but nobody has the time to spend on developing it. You will not retain any employees you want to keep when you keep slashing benefits after they break their backs for you.
