    Good place to start in the restaurant industry. Very thorough training. If you’re new to a city and get a job in a place like this you will automatically have friends/family.

    Working as a server and bartender at Earls was a great way to expand my people skills, conflict resolution, multitasking, and time management skills. The training and management styles are very easy to learn and work with and they taught lot of underlying values about customer service that can be transferred to a variety of different industries

    The business model is top notch, so organized from A-Z!! Room to be creative, learn and grow. Supportive managers (can't count the times they have bussed tables, took orders or took care of details without having to ask! Amazing!) They love when you take initiative to learn more, do more and advance your position. They are constantly recognizing employees for their hard work. The company truly cares about quality of food/drinks...

    Constantly on top of you to keep up to date with the forever rotating food and drink menu, having everything memorized and constantly being tested (fair, but super annoying!). Wages are low and tip out is high (4.5%) and based on your total sales (so if you made bad tips you're basically paying for that guest to eat there). I have found many times our managers weren't that honest to your face. There is a lot of competition...

    - A fun and self-directed environment - Keeps you busy and time goes by quicky - A great place to make long lasting friendships with great people - Depending on your skill, you can make insanely good money with tips

    - Favouritism is often at play which means you have to work even harder to get noticed - Management needs to work on doling out equal recognition opportunities to all staff and not just their favourites or their friends

      Made a great deal of friends and money at Earls, always busy and managers are some of the best I've worked with

      Kontras

      Always product outage related issues which leads to some awkward conversation with guests. Overstaffed during slow season and understaffed during busy season. Favoritism is becoming a trend, and managers almost never keep promises unless threatened with a 2 week notice

      Need more work on keeping staff happy. A happy staff makes for a happy customer. They need to be better on staffing and orders.

      Food is good to eat?

      They hire people that have no experience whatsoever and expect you to learn every detail of every drink and food recipe within 3 days. They also have managers that have stick up their ***** and think feedback is just an opportunity to give criticism. They've also implemented no tipping so everyone gets the same wage no matter what position you are, so bartending where I could get 700$/weekend in tips, i get a flat rate...
