Pros
I've worked in the Berry Business for 25 years now....the past 22 with Driscoll's. Driscoll's has a culture that invites, innovation, creativity and a place that feels like home. The environment is caring about all aspects of the business, people and communities we work in. There is tons of support at every level. When issues to come up, they are met with lots of care and a focus to resolve.

If there are downsizes Driscoll's does all it can to resolve right away to keep the company focused 100% on Mission, Vision and Values

Pros
I've been a Driscoll's employee for over 10 years and I can honestly say it's the best company I've ever worked for in my 30+ year career. It's not often you find a company that operates with their mission and core values in mind at every turn, but Driscoll's does just that. The company recruits and hires people that live up to its values of trustworthiness, passion and humility and it maintains a family-friendly culture. Driscoll's has built its success on visionary leadership that has remained a step ahead of the competition globally, combined with a strong investment in plant breeding that results in consistently better tasting berries.

No real issues. Slightly more bureaucratic than it used to be due to the growth and size of the organization.

Pros
Driscoll's is an incredible place to work. I am continuously impressed with how the organization lives and breaths the values, mission, and vision. From the company culture to the opportunities it provides its employees- the list goes one. If that wasn't enough, there is a fully stocked berry fridge. Employees get to enjoy fresh berries all year long.
Kontras
There are not a lot of places like Driscoll's out there. That said, it's a company that people stay at for years and for many decades. If you're looking to climb the company ladder really fast, this may not be the place for you. However, if you're willing to put in the time, Driscoll's will develop your knowledge and leadership abilities to prepare you for when the role opens.

Provides opportunity to work in Monterey Bay area, which is world-class if one enjoys the outdoors. Opportunity for quick advancement and taking on new roles.

You're either on the "inside" (shareholder family member or more than 20 years with the company) or "outside" (everyone else). If you're on the "outside," no one is really interested in your opinions about how to improve operations. This perspective combined with SSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW decision-making means relationships and not "rocking the boat" are valued over competency. This leads to not always making the best business decisions.

Pros
Driscoll's has shown me what it means to work at a company with a supportive culture that encourages employees to grow professionally. Although expectations are high, employers are cognizant that you are a human being and not a machine. Additionally, coworkers are welcoming and are willing to help new employees thrive. Driscoll's is a company that is open to new ideas that shoot for the moon. There's an acknowledgement that to provide the best berries for consumers, the company needs to try new things while taking care of its employees.

The biggest con is that it's a large organization. Things, at times, can move slowly, but that's to be expected of a company at this scale. The company makes an effort, however, to educate employees on what's happening in each part of the organization.
