    To many sudden changes makes colleagues unmotivated and have less belief in the company. Managers get over worked and underpaid. pay existing staff more to retain great colleagues and make external and internal pay fairer

    Where should I start? Too many to list them all but my top 5 have to be....... 1. The top level management aren't really approachable or respected by the store management teams down to the sales colleagues, they are feared more then appreciated or respected.     Good incentives and pay when bonus is hit, get to work with the latest technology

    It’s hard to advance your career out of retail, the company doesn’t offer any support with moving to a head office or field based role. Management appear to lose interest in you quickly when they realise you’d like to move away from a retail store

    Not many, most staff you deal with are great.

    Support Center (head office) does not support stores. Marketing is old and dated -all cardboard prints vs the network store are monitors and tv screens. Stores are old and dated - investment in store is lacking. IT infastructure is old - basically the till system is MS dos and not one system can talk to another.     The MD needs to take a good look at what is happening in the Dublin region. The staff turnover is crazily high. Numerous complaints of bullying harassment lodged about the same person and nothing ever done. Company needs to take control before its dragged down by the ankle.

    Stop using the secondment process to chop and change roles. If you have the correct staff for the role support them and guide them. Use the probationary period to manage if they are not performing.

    Pros

    Part of larger established group, certain amount of job security. Potential moves into Currys are possible.

    Kontras

    Budgets are tight regarding staff levels, the company part of Currys so their stores have Carphone branches in them, so it dilutes the sales opportunities. A complex role for staff, pay is average for a such a role. Bonus/ reward is achievable, but lots of ways it is removed through compliance measures.
