While buying Whitewave was a solid business move to add a fresh and growing portfolio of products, the integration hasn’t gone particularly smoothly. Somewhat concerned about the future of the company moving forward with the lack of teamwork, coupled with some of the cuts since the buyout.

Pros
The product lineup and purpose-driven mission. Nice to come into work every day knowing that the company is giving back to people and the environment. Amazing flexibility in terms of time off (unlimited), work from home options, etc. Benefits overall are excellent, particularly if you're single. Good 401k match, healthcare, and free yogurt & bottled water which is a nice perk. The new White Plains location is state of the art. The CEO is great and cares about his people.

Human Resources. They are unhelpful, unavailable, rude and ineffective which has a domino effect on the rest of the culture. The culture is going through a bit of a crisis and there doesn't seem to be any plan or budget in place for improving the employee experience. Many teams are noticeably understaffed with each individual working 12+ hours a day while other teams have 10-15 employees with the same job title who show up once a week and leave at 3PM. Marketing is full of cliques and petty behavior with very high turnover due to management.

Get the company priorities in order. Stop letting expats come into the US and waste thousands upon thousands of the company's money on living expenses while the majority of the company experiences unfair budget constraints. Invest more in employee experience. Recruiters and managers need to put more stake into WHO they're hiring, not just what their experience is.

Be more open to criticism. Get more Americans in Financial Leadership roles. It feels like there’s a glass ceiling for all Americans in this department; you lose exceptional talent this way. HR and functional managers must be more proactive to reduce turnover.

FTO policy, pay is competitive, advancement internally for floor positions and the company is growing.

Company has a strong set of values but they are not followed by most Plant Management teams until they are forced to. Production first over safety, and there are a lot of politics at the management level. The company is focused on numbers and profit not the individual employees. Turn and burn mentality with high turnover. Work life balance is non existent, you are expected to be at the plant dark to dark everyday, on call all the time and taking accrued vacation is frown upon by some plant directors.

Take better care of the employees and they will drive results. Be careful about the people you put in management and protect even though employees make multiple complaints to HR. Operations needs to focus more on values, safety, professionalism and the employees over production numbers.
