    Pros

    -75% of the hourly folks are pretty good to work with. -Pay is fair for what you have to deal with. -The HSA contribution and 401K match was great. -You don't have to actually work. I spent the last 6 months doing next to nothing and nobody noticed.

    -Bosses are too busy trying to justify their jobs to even do their jobs (I seriously doubt many are even capable of doing their jobs in the first place). -There is almost no recognition of hard/good work at the hourly level. -The "high five" system is used by supervisors to suck up to other supervisors, or to make departments look like they're doing something productive. -There is a complete and total lack of integrity...

    Take every decision you make and do the opposite. All of us at the bottom just sit and scratch our heads every time a new half-baked policy (spoiler alert: they all are) is announced. Every decision flies in the face of what would make any sense. You're making an already miserable workforce more miserable and less work is getting done with every bad decision that's made.

    Company really cares about its employees and their families. Development of employees is a high priority along with sharing of best practices throughout the company

    Some locations are remote. Takes some time to adjust to mining environment. Other than that great place to work at

    Nice location and good place to raise a family could be a nice place to work if they would listen to the employees

    Aside from 90% of management, the people are great. I've made some really good friends here. There's an endless amount to learn here. There's such a variety of equipment and conditions along with knowledgeable people that will teach you a lot.

    Management is obsessed with numbers. And the metrics they are using to measure success don't seem to be very grounded in reality and are often not reported honestly. There's a lot of lip service to being safe from management as well, and it all feels very forced.     Good pay for the area

    Kontras

    Weak management, quick to judge with out full accounting of the facts. HR is the worst I have ever seen in follow up, records keeping and any semblance of concern for employee's well being. Hourly employee handbook is a joke. Full of inconsistencies and vague "policy" (obviously) designed to allow great leeway to compensate for HR whims based on wind direction.
