    Pros

    They had great benefits including insurance, PTO, snacks and more. They give you plenty of training to successfully perform your job and there are opportunities to move up.

    Kontras

    I felt the pay was low for the amount of pressure placed on the BDS team. How they gave bonuses changed and was not a benefit for the employee.

    Management will make or break the company. It's awesome to have good people in those positions but it would help if they were also a good manager. You can be a good person but not be good at managing. I feel most people want a manager that will stand behind their team and encourage them and appreciate them when a job is well done.

    Pros

    Great people who work very hard and are really good at their jobs. Dependable and friendly. Can’t ask for better co-workers.

    Great workplace, remote work, and flexible work environment.

    Management seems reasonable with their expectations and are open to listen to concerns. At this company it is appreciated, and you have a voice. I can’t express how much this means to employees to feel “heard”.

    Benefits keep getting better. The 2019 benefits have come a LONG way, and I’m excited about the wonderful changes. HR takes surveys, and tries to give the employees what they really need. Keep up the great work.

    The saying, the only thing constant is change is absolutely accurate. If you can’t go with the flow with changes, continual updates and new processes, this isn’t the job for you. But if you can keep up, get excited, and understand that this is only due to the rapid growth and expansion, the opportunities are there to move up and get a head start on career growth. It’s also an excellent avenue to learn more and take on more.

    Change is necessary, it’s not necessarily easy for every one or every department. Just keep the communication going, have realistic expectations of workloads for your employees. You are doing a wonderful job, with growth opportunities. Just keep in mind the employees, and their expanding workloads. It’s not sustainable. Just get the right people in place, and set up for success. It’s always best to be proactive rather than reactive. We are more efficient that way.

    Tech company that focuses on having "fun" at work.

    Kontras

    For most, this company is just a stepping stone in your career. I'm not sure how to get promotions at this company but I do know that working hard and having a measurable impact on the company's bottom line is not highly weighted. If you are lucky, management will create positions for you and promote you to one of these positions without an interview or any open competition. However, this right is reserved for a select few. I can't really see a pattern or best approach for being one of these luck employees. Their quality of work and contribution to the company vary.

    The mission and ambition of the company is infectious. Lots of good people that want the organization to be it's best, willing to put in the work and help each other out.

    Moving at a very fast pace, process and resources struggle to keep up.

    Help everyone focus on what is most important... make hard decisions to say "no" to good things that are not highest priority or don't have resources to be done well.

    Pros

    Great pay, great benefits, very flexible work schedule.

    They allow you to work with manly new technologies and give you the training to keep up to date with the ever changing world of software engineering.

    The work from home policy is great as well.

    Management sometimes cares more about strict deadlines for clients than actually making sure the product is the best it can be.

    For a company that really tries to focus on retaining great employees, their benefits package is a little lacking. Good basics like health care, 401k, etc. but not many "oh wow" benefits that really make you feel valued for staying
    Consistency on how employees are treated across departments is severely lacking.
    Hard to take actual vacation time then it feels you are wasting your days and not actually relaxing

    Pros

    Nice office perks, colorful atmosphere, casual dress code.

    Kontras

    No work life balance, no clearly defined expectations, lack of singular voice from management, no accountability for upper management, no processes outlined and no organization. Basic things you would expect from a 15+ year old company are lacking. Still running like a 2 year old start up.
