    Effort is there to improve. Monthly communication was sufficient.

    Secrecy and disjointed approach by Sr staff. Too many deals done in the dark that impacted many people. No transparency.

    When you sell a business unit, give those affected some indication that talks are underway. An email corporate wide followed by a blood letting and termination of hundreds of people within 48 hours is bad form. Especially when the buyer of the business unit told their staff weeks before the deal was closed. This would have given those affected (and those not) some time to make arrangements and prepare.

    Pros

    As call center jobs go, this was one of the better ones. Dealing with people nonstop is draining and I felt (before current management) that there was an actual understanding of what the job is like. Current management at the time of my departure was starting to tick towards micromanagement but that never succeeds for long.

    As careers go, this is going nowhere fast. The staffing ratios are such that only the top 2 %, out of about 800, have a realistic chance at getting promoted. If you don't want to wait in line, it can be frustrating, so you really have to enjoy the job, and I've never met anybody who aspired to work in a call center and loves the job.

    You can always tell when a call center manager graduated straight from college to management without having to work a real job, and they always succeed in the short term and harm the company, and the employees, in the long term. And then you want to go back to management that worked their way up and knew what they were doing, and you can't because they're long gone, and now you have to pay them twice as much to come... back.

    Pros

    You can make 4k to 5k commission plus your hourly if you work really hard. Free Cable, Internet, and Land Line Phone.

    Management is full of contradiction. They will look down upon you if you don't sell a mobile line even if you try your hardest on every call. Even if you're selling their other services and doing a fantastic job they will not consider you to be doing a good job till you sell a mobile line. The job tends to drain you because of the pressure they put on agents. They don't give a higher hourly pay rate to... bilingual agents. Calls are counted against you when you get a customer support call and not a sales call.

    Give Bilingual Agents more benefits. Don't count calls that aren't possible to make a sale on. Try to make your agents feel good about selling other products and not just mobile.

    Provide local departments with budget to support local community efforts. The company tends to believe that just providing better service for a good price point is good enough along with their corporate community sponsored initiatives but a lot of times those initiatives don't impact all the local communities they service and that does not help with having a good reputation.

    Has loads of budget. You can work and learn a lot in very short span.

    Very unorganised. We hardly had any meetings to plan. Under staffed. Most of the budget is going to get new devices and licenses instead of hiring more resources.
