    When you interview with Centric you almost don't believe that culture is as paramount as everyone says or the reviews here on GlassDoor. Joining the Centric team was not an easy decision for me to make, I was leaving a job that I enjoyed, with a team that I cared about. However, the opportunity to join a company that embraces "being human" and revolves around unmatched experiences for their clients and their... employees was intriguing. I'm glad I made the decision to join the team, and I'm happy to report that everything I was told in my interview process and read online was highly accurate.

    The company is growing, and with that comes some pain, which is typical with any organization. I have been through similar types of experiences and can attest that Centric is managing towards the right kind of change.     Culture is very office/location specific. The push to grow is causing hiring decisions (and people decisions in general) that are killing the culture.

    Retain the good people. Look into those who are playing games. Get rid of the politics. There is nothing wrong with a small to mid size fuel that’s amazing. It’s better than a big firm that sometimes treats people like crap if you don’t have someone who’s willing to champion you. Dig into the offices where things are going south and make the tough calls.

    - Work from Home - Flexible working timing ( Having flexible working time also means no hard-stop for the day. You might end up sometimes working on odd timings) - Additional Hour Compensation

    - Not a good paymaster as compared to industry standards - No onsite opportunity: To be fair, Centric India did initiate several B2 visa applications but given the change in US visa policies, the rejection is more than 90 percent right now. There is no project from outside the US. - No career path: Leadership lacks long-term vision and thus you are on your own to figure out your career path. - Limited... Learning Opportunity: Centric India does not have very good projects that can provide good sustainable learning. Also, the number of projects is limited. - No Promotion Policy : Centric is a flat-level hierarchy organization but as the description suggests there is still some hierarchy. Centric India does not even have an iota of Promotion Policy in place. There are all sorts of confusion and most of the time you will end-up doing tasks not suitable for your level of experience. - No leadership grooming - Centric India has cultivated a unique hierarchy system. On paper, they have a confusing hierarchy based on whatever designation you want at joining. But truly, Centric India has 3 levels of hierarchy - Top Leadership, Practice Heads and everyone else. They are promoting a culture of eliteness where leadership behaves like they own the company rather than being employees on equal parity with everyone else. There is no plan put in place to groom anyone else as leaders. - Centric US Backend office : Most of the Centric India project work lack depth as the decision-making and meaty work is being retained by Centric US. - Incompetent mid-level management : Practice-heads are running their practices knowing they could get away with anything. Some of the practice-heads are in their position based on their connections rather than their credentials. Practice-heads are competing against each other and within their team as well to maintain status-quo. Practice-heads have misplaced priorities as event planning takes precedence over team building and grooming. Practice-heads do not have a clue about the strengths and weaknesses of team members within their team, how to effectively utilize them and groom them for the next level. Some practice-heads are an exception to one or more above-mentioned points. - Detached leadership : Centric India team's revenue and team size are increasing exponentially and that seems to be only yard-stick that matters to leadership. For them, everything is rosy based on this. Leadership has detached themselves from ground reality and employees do not trust them enough to share true feedback about their trusted generals.

    Centric India has diffracted away from Centric values and I am not sure it could return. I am not sure why leadership is not able to see this and taking action to correct this. There was only 1 feedback circulated for mid-level management along with the annual Employee Satisfaction Index so far. But, I do not see any changes on the ground and most of the negative feedback still holds to this date.

    - Work from home Only - Good annual events and parties

    - Bonus or variable ( Not in line with industry standards only pays annual) on joining person should look for fixed amount. - Nepotism . - Average Salary. High payout only if the you have less than 4 years experience - No onsite - Work culture (not professional like only lala company) - No learning . - Leads are from AON only and They will first give opportunity to them . If they failed to crack... client interview ( which is most of the case you can expect) others gets the chance. Although they are hiring from other company but that is for lower roles only.

    They had decent benefits and worked from home most the time.

    Antiquated business model that is regional and no one knows what anyone else is doing. Regional business units aren't willing to share billings or hours, so they ultimately compete against each other. Everyone passes the responsibility of actual work on to others and no one is actually willing to get their hands dirty. Cut throat and upper management isn't afraid to throw people under the bus, so that they... look good.

    No prons apart from flexible timings and average payout.

    It's not a company where you plan to stay long. Weird self-made policies Company is run by HRs instead of mgmt. Mgmt doesn't support employees.

    Grow-up and try to know the reality rather than just sitting relaxing and counting money. Talk to your employees. And now, work on forcing your employees to put some good reviews to his this one as the Hr does every 15 days.

    There are various differentiating factors to Centric like flexible work from home policy, flexible working hours policy, lots of international travel opportunities, great compensation, state-of-the-art technologies, quality work, transparency, learning/growth opportunities and many more which are unique to Centric only. People irrespective of their experience get exposure to complete software development lifecycle... by getting involved from beginning till the very end of the project leading to their holistic growth. To start with they are closely involved in business discussions with end client, sharing status with them on a daily basis, getting one's work evaluated by the end client and of course getting credit for one's work also from end client, leaving no scope of manipulation from anyone else. Due to this high amount of visibility, people's performance gets noticed aptly and is duly rewarded. Centric invests heavily in upgrading employee skills by encouraging people to do certifications in latest technologies and reimbursing the complete cost of the certification without expecting committment in return. People also get oppportunities to switch to different technnology verticals to align with their future goals without hassles. Hence, lots of growth opportunities for people who are ready to deep dive into leading-edge technologies. Leads at Centric continuously strive to provide technical mentorship and direction to their teams encouraging them to grow and stay competitive. Centric also offers great opportunities for international travel. People are encouraged to travel to US to meet and work alongside their onshore counterparts and clients. The travel opportunities are provided to everyone in the project on rotational basis. There is never a shortage of travel budget for the projects because the projects are setup with taking into account the travel expenses for all people working for that project. Centric also strongly beleives in importance of family in one's life and maintaining the balance between work and family. Flexibility in work from home and work hours help people take care of their personal committments along with professional committments. To further strengthen the bond between organization and employee families, Centric invites employee families to various parties & events truly living upto Centric's culture of a close-knit family. In addition to these, the Leadership team is completely approachable and open to suggestions as they give utmost importance to regular employee connects to be able to interact with junior folks to hear them directly and make them feel being cared for. Overall Centric's culture of transparency and openness is truly exhibited by its people making Centric a great place to work!!
