    Pros

The people are genuinely nice, but that isn't enough to keep quality employees. I think leaders want to be good leaders, but they don't know how.

    Kontras

Definitely not high caliber personnel - don't consider CHI if you're looking for an A-level team. Leadership doesn't understand how to talk to or work with employees, and everything is disjointed because people at all levels on every team work in silos. There is a lot of talk about the core values, but leaders don't embody them, so it feels like they're lying every time they speak. The work here isn't challenging... - what is challenging is getting decisions made and executed. The only focus is on cost savings which is usually at the expense of employees - you don't ever see leaders rolling up their sleeves and making sacrifices for the greater good. This place has changed a lot in the 4 years I've been here, and all of the quality people are leaving for other jobs.

If cost savings is so important that you rename the project every 9 months, maybe you could trim your bonuses instead of laying off teams. It would make more sense to align the entire organization to common goals rather than letting everyone do whatever they want and working in silos - imagine how much money we could save if the company was all working together! Focus on prioritizing the most important work that... everyone is in sync with and discontinuing the little projects that don't fit within that list, and you will find your productivity goes up and hopefully so do your scores.

    Pros

Home office, flexible schedule, co workers are hard working individuals who try to meet company goals

    Kontras

Company restructures too many times resulting in many, many job eliminations. No security

    Rat an das Management

Be careful before you hire someone as they assumed there was a real need for a position when it was filled. Just because you need to restructure financially resulting in a job loss for an employee is unacceptable. You worry about the corporation, but not what the impact is on the employee who trusted that they would have a job as long as they were doing what was asked. CHI is fiscally irresponsible.

    Pros

CHI started out as a faith based healthcare ministry of the Catholic church with good intentions.

    Kontras

CHI's "so called" values are Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence. They fail at all off these values. especially Integrity as I have never been lied to as much by an other company I've worked for ever.

    Rat an das Management

Update your resumes, as I believe CHI will cease to exist in 5 years due to your incompetence.

    Pros

The company has good benefits and has a good mission.

    Kontras

The IT function is in shambles and will continue to decline, as there is a lack of investment in people to fix core processes and operational processes. IT leadership is missing. Fundamental processes across finance, procurement, contracting, etc. are missing. It is extremely challenging to get anything done given broken processes and unhappy people. Sr. Leadership wants to outsource accountability and doesn't... support its outsourcing providers. There is constant support issues across the organization and there is only effort to figure out who to blame, instead of how to fix the problems. Leadership refuses to fix root cause of problems and consultants are brought in to evaluate the same problems over and over... wasting money and time. They have lost over 90% of their IT leaders in the last 2 years - this must say something. The problems are getting worse.

    Rat an das Management

Fix fundamental core processes: Finance, Procurement, Accounting. Build a support structure in IT for outsourcing provider to be successful and appropriately drive what the business needs from IT. Stop paying consultants because you want to hear a different story... Fix something instead... build processes... Stop blaming outsourcing provider for the things you should be accountable for and partner with them. ... Recognize IT cannot fix problems overnight that have been there for years and are compounded by growth and broken core processes across the organization. You have lost some of your best people and will continue to do so. Many of those that remain, do so because they will tolerate the chaos and have given up on actually fixing it. Expect things to get much worse before they get better. This operating model is truly neglectful. Accept the problems and empower people to fix them, understanding the problems are deep and wide which will require time and support and drive from the top.

    Pros

Friendly environment, good co-workers. If you're talented you can progress in the organization.

    Kontras

Lots of bureaucracy, growing quickly from M&A without strong structure to support and hospital systems take out frustrations on corporate employees. People coasting by when others are working hard to turn things around. Need to trim the fat. Heavy use of consulting firms selling your ideas to the executives as their own. Inconsistency in employment practices and work/life based on area you work in.

    Rat an das Management

Critical scrutiny of every leadership position, identify where the value is and don't use consultants to accomplish it, you gave your own talent that can tell you.

Ich arbeite seit mehr als 10 Jahren bei Catholic Health Initiatives (Vollzeit)

    Pros

The people are really nice. The culture is respectful. People feel like they are contributing to something important. Benefits are solid.

    Kontras

Lack of growth opportunities. Not a lot of internal promotions to executive levels.

    Rat an das Management

There are too many priorities so the focus is not really there. There are not enough resources to successfully complete all of the priorities on the strategic plan.

Ich arbeite seit mehr als einem Jahr bei Catholic Health Initiatives (Vollzeit)

    Pros

Work load is light and predictable. Pretty much a 9-5 company.

    Kontras

Bonus is low or non-existent because the organization is losing money in most markets. Despite what they tell you when you join. Salaries do not increase much beyond joining. Very poor people management. Either too passive or too aggressive. Mixed messages from leadership means no one really knows where they stand from day to day. Despite claiming to be on the cutting edge of health care reform, they are in fact... very behind. Too many ineffective, overpaid VPs and little opportunity for career progression. Health care benefits are average at best which is quite ironic. It takes ages to get anything done here as there is too much process and IT support is very poor. Too much time is wasted in meetings on 'reflections'. Overall a pretty toxic environment to work within and to be honest not worth it.

    Rat an das Management

Fire WIPRO. Implement management training for all VPs and Directors and take them out of leadership positions if they don't want to manage people correctly.
