    Pros

    Overall good culture within organisation. Most people are down to earth and friendly. Salary levels are reasonably good. Hours are reasonable for financial sector.

    Kontras

    Most of the project managers fall under a new individual who frankly doesn't understand project management and makes rash ill thought out decisions. There is a lot of governance and audits done on the projects which can make delivery rather cumbersome at times.

    Good if you dont mind process and a very regulated environment Some exciting and innovative projects going on Nice people. Good camaraderie within departments

    Many areas are very control focused Major projects last many years before they see light in production because failure is not an option and you have to document everything a thousand times over to the regs.

    Pros

    Solid foundation FX, Project, IT, Security and FX Settlement best practice. Good work/life balance but a lack of formal career development/path structure. Pay & benefits competitive but bonuses pots not as high as normal banks due to non-profit nature. Great place to learn first class standards.

    Kontras

    Competitive internally due to it’s relatively small number of staff. Ability to work in in both NY, Japan & London. Often management infighting and battles for the top job/s. Growth as a company is limited due to the fact that CLS was built for one purpose so you employees will not benefit from increased profits.

    Its on the right path towards standardization and also expanding

    Management not good, all they want is to hire more resources to increase their billing, example if they want a resource of X technology they will always hire 1 even though a good resource of that technology is available even though working on different domain for now

    Only for the money but it's not worth it for what it will do to your mental health state and health generally due to the stress.

    People are employed for their expertise but are not allowed to use their initiative. There are some extremely bad bullies. It is very targeted and nasty. This is by managers and people that are their 'side kicks' that are grossly incompetent but will not admit to their inadequacies (but rather put them in a 'management' role. They are always looking for scapegoats to shift the blame, even if the person is very... professional and does a far superior job than them. There is no escalation process to deal with managers that are bullies. Some of the managers based in the US treat their team members in London like slaves: they dictate, don't listen, and don't inform them what is happening. They do not plan things properly, everything is a reaction, they don't listen and then when it goes wrong and try to shift the blame. They treat seasoned professionals as if they are junior apprentices, undermining them and insulting their intelligence. The way some US managers speak is dogmatic, controlling and nasty with zero courtesy. The do not support their team members, ignore emails then demand things to be delivered when they click their fingers (despite it being delivered already (or they had forgotten they'd asked somebody else to do also) but they missed it or it is something they were provide support/responses on). Some managers and their teams do not treat their staff with any respect. They do not acknowledge all the great work but instead become extremely vindictive if a professional raises a concern to them as a risk about operational practices and standards. Instead they try to make your life unbearable so that you leave and try hard to find something about you or your work to criticize, and withhold privileges that is common to other team members as revenge.

    Look at what is going on under you noses - you are going to have an extremely bad reputation as an employer. You are in my top two worst places I've worked as regards management and standards. Teach your management to respect and support the team members and act as facilitators - not like classroom bully teachers or bully employers from a bygone dinosaur age that control. Look for and weed out the bullies, some of... them are very new because management seem to be under the very bad illusion that to make things happen they need to have bullies. Unfortunately not only are some bullies but totally incompetent ones with it.
