    - strong brands
    - successful company
    - collaborative and coaching senior leadership teams
    - nicely located office (in Hamburg)
    - good work-life-balance
    - no/very soft pressure
    - family-owned and therefore consistent in strategy and profit-oriented

    - collaborative/bottom up approach with a lot of freedom given to employees/teams/country organizations sometimes suffers from a lack of processes and decision power; leads to very long decision processes
    - limited number of countries with own sales organization --> missing sales culture and knowledge

    great brands and history behind, good work life balance

    Kontras

    but...if you end up in the "wrong" department, where people created a "clique", and you don't want to adhere to these people, they will openly bad mouth behind you and even worst, if it is your own boss who did not really welcome you well to the company and their team...

    Rat an das Management

    Try to "scan" people sometimes who have been there longer and make sure they don't feel like they can do whatever they want or if they are eligable to manage other people...

    Pros

    The people at Brown-Forman make this the best company I’ve ever worked for. Working for a company with iconic brands like Jack Daniel’s alongside people who are just as motivated as me makes for a fun and fulfilling work environment.

    The company ‘walks the walk’ with their commitment to diversity and inclusion and corporate responsibility; which is important to me. Employees can get involved with employee resource groups no matter where they work across the world.

    I love our flexible work policy that allows me to work when and how I want. If I need to come in later because of a doctor’s appointment or leave early for a child's school activity, that is encouraged and helps my work/life balance. I know I enjoy working from home or a coffee shop throughout the week too and that's not uncommon throughout the company.

    While upward professional growth is not as fast as at previous companies, by raising your hand you can have plenty of opportunities to move laterally across your function or even to other areas of the business.

    Kontras

    We are an incredibly collaborative company and that can slow down decision making; which could be frustrating for someone who is used to a fast-paced organization.

    There is also long tenure at B-F, particularly in the US -- so moving into a new role every two years may not always happen.

    Brown-Forman is a flat organization and makes balanced, thoughtful decisions. This means we have to be innovative, patient, focused, and savvy.     Good products and brands, interesting industry, family company, good initiatives at corporate level

    Too tolerant to employees that do not perform their jobs properly or with bad behaviour (theft, drinking prob. ,harassment), advance opportunities not for all just if you get along with certain employees, flexible time not for all (even though is possible, i.e. back office positions), people don´t feel secure to report these type of things they prefer to leave if they can . Benefits are not competitive with current competitors they are comparing just vs Guadalajara companies when main competitors has their key personnel in Mexico City.
