Ich habe bei BioInformatics gearbeitet ()

    Pros

Relaxed work environment, people are easy to get along with, sometimes interesting projects.

    Kontras

They underpay and overwork you. Not enough people are in the company to handle the work load but they can't really afford to hire more without going even more into the red.

    Rat an das Management

Cut some of the dead weight and hire for positions you really need more of.

    Stimmt gegen Geschäftsführer

Ich habe für mehr als 3 Jahre bei BioInformatics gearbeitet ()

    Pros

Main pro is that it's close to the metro. Work-life balance was decent.

    Kontras

Management is AWFUL: To sum them up: unethical and extremely unprofessional. One person in C-suite has shown up high on pain killers on numerous occasions. Management is cynical, unpleasant to work with, and constantly have a contagiously depressing attitude. They get in shouting matches all the time and it was just awkward for everyone. It was a toxic work environment. The management team just wants to fake-it-until-they-make-it,...

    Rat an das Management

First, stop the constant bickering - it's killing your staff morale. Then, innovate. Your business is predicated on fraudulent methods. Be more transparent to staff. Give more incentive for your staff to stay.

    Kontras

Small company that always demands that the job get done even when under-staffed.

    Rat an das Management

    Hire more analysts

Ich habe bei BioInformatics gearbeitet ()

      Pros

Small company means you get exposure to lots of different stages of business development. Location is very metro assessable. Everyone is collaborative.

      Kontras

Office environment can be boring, although there are efforts being taken to revive this.

      Positive Prognose

Ich habe bei BioInformatics gearbeitet ()

      Pros

The market research product is great and has a real impact on the life science tools industry. Also, the company is growing quickly now, so there is a lot of change going on.

      Kontras

The company's ethics, whether in how they treat their employees or how they treat their contributing scientists (paid survey takers), really affected company morale while I was there. There was also a huge disconnect between the executives and the rest of us.

      Rat an das Management

Make it clear that employees are not the lowest priority in the company, and if they are, change that.

      Ich arbeite bei BioInformatics (Vollzeit)

      Pros

Office is small. Very relaxed culture and flexible. Ability to grow and learn a lot. Expect a lot from employees and give a lot in return.

      Kontras

Not enough time to "think" critically about your work. Need to do more and more.

      Rat an das Management

Need to compensate employees more and provide more time to think about organization structure and business process.

Ich habe bei BioInformatics gearbeitet ()

      Pros

BioInformatics offers unusually generous benefits for such a small company and most have their own office. If you like Apple computers, most employees use those for their workstation. They have a convenient location off of the Clarendon metro. The environment is comfortable and the offices are nice.

      Kontras

Management can focus too heavily on whatever issue seems the most pressing, leading to neglecting other vital interests. This has lead to severe cases where a lack of accountability has been damaging to the company's interests and employee morale. Turnover is high, suggesting either a dissatisfaction with potential for job advancement (it's a small company, not their fault) or dissatisfaction with position/pay. That...

      Rat an das Management

The benefits and office suggest a commitment to employees, which is commendable. Be more proactive in addressing any dissatisfaction they may feel. If something will be a problem, your dedicated staff is probably upset about it before you know it exists.
