    SMILE offers many benefits, such as a 401 K Plan, insurance, holiday pay, and for some employees to be off for holidays with their children. The opportunity to continue your educational experiences and ways and means to meet children where they are.

    To be consistent across the board, treat all employees with dignity and respect, leave friendship at home, and make restitution to reward your employee. Give all the same opportunity for advancement within you organization.

    Pros

    The clients at SMILE are fabulous and make the job worthwhile. Working with developmentally disabled adults is a real treat.

    Kontras

    Management does not seem to be there for the right reason. The training is non-existent and "contract workers" (who should be employees) are berated for not knowing their job.

    Change management to someone who actually has experience in the field.
