    Pros

    Diverse workplace where people really do want to make a product that works for users. Nice office. New tech stack is moving in the right direction. Management are trying to change and improve.

    Kontras

    Previous poor management. A lot has change in the last year and this process has not been handled well. A large number of engineers have been off-shored to Krakow. There is a definite cultural split between senior management and more junior staff.

    Rat an das Management

    Spend more time thinking actually how plans will be actioned end to end. Break down large changes into more smaller pieces with clearer checks on progress more frequently. Take time to celebrate wins more often with employees of all levels.

    Nice office, good location. exposure to a wide range of tasks, opportunity to learn.

    As a former worldremit employee, I use TransferWise... Worldremit product is better and cheaper, but I can not stomach to give them a penny. Horrible company culture, inept HR department, inept management on CS. Very clique place, career development is mostly about politics. Bullies are rewarded, and smart people run away. They can get profitable because CS is huge, and that's because the product have problems,... which drive complaints to the roof... What worldremit did? Fix the problems, bring people with new ideas? Nop, They got old fashioned people, with conservative ideas. Start saving money the wrong way... Getting rid of engineers, really? I still talk with friends there, they hate to be there.

    Most people hate to work there! You need to create a better company culture, this is not about buying people pizza and cheap treats, is about respect, about having a decent HR department and procedures and punish bullies and homophobic employees, and pay fairly, is like I have to keep an eye constantly on my payslip because you always make "mistakes". Stop using career progression as a reward for your friends and... the "yes man" employees, listen to the smart people that desperately wanted to be a contribution, and end up running away. I spend almost 3 years there, I could have done a lot for your company, you didn't let me. Now I'm doing all that for your competitor.
