    Pros

    Great work-life balance, support for personal development. Encourages employees to try new things and is a good place to move around internally for growth (vertically and horizontally). Lots of different teams to work with or in - just have to learn to navigate the organisation. As with any organisation, talent recognition varies but my experience has been on the positive side with quick career progression as an... external hire.

    The most legacy of Aussie companies. Lack of ownership throughout and incredibly slow, risk-averse decision-making. This idea of needing to "socialise" everything adds to the poor pace of change in a competitive and rapidly changing environment. Some ego and territorial issues as you move up or try to get things done. Many grads walk around like they're the best thing since sliced bread. Culture varies across teams... - Finance is a bit boring, in my opinion/coming from a very different industry. If you have thick skin and a LOT of patience, these things can be traded off for an overall nice job where taking 6-8 weeks leave don't raise an eyebrow as long you deliver what is expected of you.
