.Decent hourly wage for new tutors .free and paid professional "Online Tutor Certification" .Growth is possible to an intermediate, but not advanced, degree .Monthly events bring fun connection between tutors, mentors, and the corporation's managing team .a tutor who has been with the company a couple years typically gets a decent raise in hourly wage .Management is fine in the circumstance where a longtime tutor or tutor-mentor receives a desired, outside freelance offer by a different company, asking to take a temporary, "unpaid" Leave-Of-Absence. For instance, in my own case, although they did not have a policy or form regarding such a situation, they were professional and supportive, saying, 'Your tutoring job here at Tutor.com will be available if or when you wish to return here.'

.Certifications need updating each year, which is not as resume-enhancing as one might think as it bounds employees to company space and time limitations. .In 2013, TUTOR.COM had no official position, form or provision for a 2X "Best Tutor" (student voted) and 12.5-years-congruent tutor taking extended (but temporary) Leave Of Absence. In hindsight, it would have left less guessing all around even if, lacking any official take on the situation, a humanly personable couple of statements had been included to actually encourage such a longtime employee's return - even a single statement like 'Don't be a stranger' would have included encouraging warmth which might have seen my return sooner than later. .
