Before working for this MD please understand that this person is very difficult to work with. He is not considerate about people around him. He only cares about the reputation of the lab. Anybody who complained with HR about Dr. Iozzo's abusive and insulting behavior got terminated and HR never took any actions towards the recurring complaints. Overall, working for this lab was a horrible experience. There is not even a HR handbook accessible. The benefits package can barely be considered benefits. The pay rate is twice lower than Uber and Lyft driver salary earnings. If this is the face of Jefferson's Pathology department, this is a shame and disappointing. This company treats its workers as lab animals and there is no growth opportunity in this lab. All you will be doing is dissecting mice. Dr. Iozzo will spend all day discussing international politics, his luxury cars, and tell you how you should feel about sensitive topics pertaining to personal career goals. He is only present in the lab 2-3 work days, only if the weather is good. There are plenty of other labs at Jefferson. Save your career, health, sanity and future from working with this man.
