Ich habe weniger als ein Jahr bei Sherwin-Williams gearbeitet -

    Pros

I was part of the summer management internship program in Hawaii. It was a fun learning experience, everyone that worked for SW was very friendly and helpful. If you apply yourself, you can learn a lot from being in the store and taking the online courses. The group project presentation at the end is pretty fun, especially if your group is prepared!

    Kontras

There is a lot of information about products to process very quickly, so bring a notebook that fits into your back pocket! The quality of your training with the management team depends on how busy your store is. If you're in one of the busier stores like I was, you'll see very little of your manager and learn more from your coworkers. If you get uncooperative group members for the final project, step up and take the... lead-this is an internship about leadership, remember? Also, be prepared to get little to no support from store and upper-level management in regards to the project, your group, and your training. It really depends on the store.

    Rat an das Management

Be more timely when giving interns placement and notifications about what is expected of them. Rotating interns to different stores would give them a more diverse experience (busy vs. warehouse, etc.)

Ich habe für mehr als ein Jahr bei Sherwin-Williams gearbeitet - Teilzeit

    Pros

A fairly diverse working environment consisting of Customer service and general sales obligations such as stocking, facing and fulfilling needs and orders of guests via in person interaction as well as from the company email and telephone. Aside from Customer service and sales experience, You've the chance to interact with a warehouse and logistics like environment following the large demand of product from home... bodies looking to renovate as well as general contractors and construction workers requiring large amounts of product. Overall, There is always something to interact with and learn

    Kontras

If one is unfamiliar with manual and physical labor, even applying for customer service and entry level position implies moving one gallon to five gallon tubs of Paint, primer, gloss and base coats as well as other industrial chemicals and can be somewhat overwhelming to an unaware, or unprepared new hire.

    Rat an das Management

Separate General front of house obligations from the back of house demands in order to ensure the employees are specified to one criteria of prerequisites
