Ich habe bei Office of Naval Intelligence gearbeitet (Vollzeit)

    Pros

Opportunity to be fully responsible for an assigned portfolio with a tangible impact much earlier than in many other IC agencies. Mostly good work-life balance. Opportunity also for civilians to gain and use niche expertise unlikely to be duplicated elsewhere in IC. Great sense of mission in some areas.

    Kontras

Less known and appreciated in the Intelligence Community than it should be, so the experience is sometimes seen as less prestigious. Can be disconnected from many broader IC opportunities. Promotion potential limited once mid career because the ratio of higher rank (GG-15, DISL/DISES and SES) positions is much lower than in some sister agencies, which creates bottlenecks for talent and retention problems in some... areas.

Ich habe für mehr als 3 Jahre bei Office of Naval Intelligence gearbeitet (Vollzeit)

    Pros

There are some truly dedicated and talented individuals who work there for less money than they are worth.

    Kontras

The leadership at the time was a complete calamity, with the Commanding Officer on down. In my department especially, promotion to leadership positions were based on sucking up, and not performance or tenure. There was no training or on boarding pipeline. You would routinely be thrown into jobs you were not trained for, then disciplined for not performing.
