    Growth companies typically experience growing pains especially as processes are being built. There are often transitions of employees who work best in corporate vs startup vs growth companies. If you want to make a difference, this is the kind of company you want to work with.

    Most people are generally friendly

    As a contractor it is hard to get much recognition for a job well done. It's not like we get bonuses for doing good work. Nor is there any specific mechanism for advancing to a full-time real job. Budget concerns are always cited when proposals to hire on a contractor full-time are advanced - meanwhile large acquisitions in tangentially-related businesses are made at the same time. As quite a few of us often know more about the platform and its users than the full-time employees, it's very obvious we are being taken advantage of because of the lower price point of our services. Contractors are also effectively shut out from the earliest internal discussions about upcoming development. We're the power users of your software - just because we are under contract doesn't make our opinions less valid. The de-verticalization was a good idea but confusingly implemented. It's still unclear why the positions *needed* to be renamed (especially at the same time) - and never explained to the users themselves. Middle management seems to be working at cross purposes sometimes - multiple balls in the air (ComEx initiatives vs ComDev initiatives) and they haven't seemed to mesh yet.
