    Pros

Really engaging and exciting work! The sales process prioritises clients that are a good fit and that we can work in partnership with. As an agency this makes a huge difference. I'm seen as a trusted part of my clients teams rather than someone who gets the blame when things go wrong. Flexibility and trust - as a working parent of a one year old, there are always going to be those days when I have to look after... an ill child or work different hours to accommodate the nursery run. Babelquest gives me that flexibility, combined with the trust that I will get the job done on time and well. Personal development time and budget. We get half a day a week to spend on personal development and learning. This means the whole team is constantly buzzing with new ideas and educating each other. Growth mindset - there is a huge focus on longterm planning so it's possible to map out my career and set goals around where I want to be in 2,5 10 years time. Being listened to and innovating - ideas are encouraged, if you have an idea, the leadership team will listen. You just need to be prepared to pick up and run with it. Work life balance is excellent, if I find myself working at home in the evening, it's because I want to!

Having spent the previous years working in London, there is less choice when it comes to lunch.

Flexible hours. Really nice owners. Great atmosphere. I'm learning every day. I feel I have a purpose and I feel I'm contributing. I am listened to and my ideas and opinions are always heard.

    Kontras

I work well in a noisy office but the office is sometimes too quiet but they are expanding to another floor so in a month or two I'll be able to put the radio on.

    Pros

I have always been inquisitive, and being actively encouraged to be like that at work is brilliant. The half day of personal development time per week has given me the opportunity of pursuing my goal of getting an MBA and I feel like I learn something new every day. If you like pushing yourself to learn and grow, this is the place to be. It would be remiss to not remark on the trust and flexibility that is given... here. Being able to work from home or leave a little early to get some headspace if you need it and catch up when you're more focused is invaluable. Overall, being part of a growing business and seeing how it evolves over time as I have is so exciting. I love that we're all here because we believe in what we do and are passionate about taking the business to the next level.

I think this is a common theme in many jobs these days, but having the ability to work from anywhere and the flexibility to actually do it means that you have to make sure that you keep the work/life balance alive. I find that setting myself a goal of going to the gym at a certain time in the evening helps me to switch off and transition away from the working day. Sure, there are times when having a culture of... accountability means that you work some extra hours when you're up against a deadline, but if you really care about what you do I think you'd do that anywhere. Abingdon traffic can be a pain - my tip? Get here a little earlier to avoid rush hour - at least it's not as bad as Oxford city centre.
