    -Very human culture. -Great colleagues with great fun. -Learned a lot technically from my presales in our free time. -Building relations in HPE and in country IT world. Working for an IT giant, many doors open in your local market, giving you the chance to get many relations for your future career. -Interesting solutions, not only hardware but also software, branching into cyber security. Lots... of money goes to product development.

    Aruba claims to be 'smallest big company in the world' / to have kept the start up culture. This might be true in the HQ... But most if not all negative points here transpire directly or indirectly from the mother company HPE. The lack of the pre HPE take over Aruba employees still remaining with the company says enough. -Lack of investment/development/structured and consequent training. -In regards to... former, different standards across teams. -Lack of presales resources. -Lack of a driven sales culture. -Too long process, complex web of tools and processes/ not an agile business. -- This causes the role to be very admin oriented, as opposed to what the job description says. -Lack of clarity in compensation, inconsistencies and errors. -Lack of expertise of the stakeholders who should be knowledgeable (Compensation, tools & process, sales process), thus shifting workload to the ISRs. --Not universal, eg presales are generally very strong and hard working. -Double management structures of Inside Sales and Country/Field organisation creates inefficiencies, which in the end comes on the neck of the ISR (double forecasting methods, double forecasting meetings, different expectations, etc.) -In relation to the former; ISR management (low to the top) too focused on perception to prove their own value, given country/field organisation management could actually handle most /all tasks ISR management does, probably even better. This focus on perception (‘proving ISR model works’ / ’proving ISR management increases performance’) creates extra workload for the ISRs, who are a tool for management to achieve the goals mentioned before. An ISR creating good perception for his manager but who further does not add any value to the organisation is still the managers star. --Again this not universal or absolute!

    -More investment in the ISR role to give ISRs the skills and motivation to be more than admins/pricing teams/partner managers (presales resources, training, business trips, etc.) and making true on promises made during hiring process, see between brackets -More modern mentality from field organization and higher level management in relation to inside sales. --Not universal/absolute, eg. some countries very... involved and supportive. -Aruba Networks has only had this inside sales team for a bit more than year, lagging behind the industry already, don't make it worse by having the project mishandled by managers (low to top) who sometimes barely havesales experience, let alone experience managing inside sales teams.

    Friday lunches, recently adopted "Wellness Friday's" where once a month you get to leave a few hours early, dogs in office, office has a great location downtown near food trucks.

    Management in the Portland office is a nightmare. Threats of "not having a job" in the future since sales are down even though we do not control if a customer purchases or not. Demotivating - starting looking for a new job that supports it's people.
