    Pros

A lot of focus is put on the competencies of the AMA and I've seen them reiterated so often that it truly has shaped the culture of the organization in the best possible way. By focusing on infrastructure improvements, the AMA is constantly looking into the future in how to best service their members and therefore keeping us relevant to our core audience. Including members from all teams in interview panels,... design sprints and user testing not only introduces AMA employees to aspects of the business they might not have exposure to but also makes all successes more broad than "this team won".

Ich habe weniger als ein Jahr bei American Marketing Association als Vollzeit gearbeitet

    Pros

Beautiful office space, on which they will provide a lot of focus during your visit/interview experience.

    Kontras

Outdated and increasingly irrelevant model & institution. Huge disconnect between execs and remaining staff. People are often fired. Overall there is a feeling of unease, distrust and frustration among staff, and they do not feel like there is anywhere to turn for help.

Ich arbeite seit mehr als einem Jahr bei American Marketing Association (Vollzeit)

    Pros

Friendly people with diverse backgrounds. Good opportunity for entry level people to gain basic experience. Casual dress code.

    Kontras

Very outdated ways of doing things, inexperienced leadership in many areas who don't communicate well. Pattern of hiring people then letting them go when they realize they didn't know what they needed. No innovation or creativity. Outdated organization in most areas, don't stay too long or you will fall behind.

    Rat an das Management

Do a better job of listening to members, and giving them what they actually want.

    Kontras

Standard cons for any organization: * Dealing with change isn't always easy for long-term team members * New team members sometimes are short-sighted in how they promote new ideas and disregard organizational culture * Quarterly goal setting/review process can be somewhat tedious

    Rat an das Management

Push team members to be flexible and open to new ideas, but don't disregard all advice from people who have been around for quite some time.

    Pros

New leadership with Russ Klein. He is fantastic!

    Kontras

Wish there was more consistency with systems and tools among the local chapters - with so many chapters AMA National Office could negotiate great pricing

Ich arbeite bei American Marketing Association (Vollzeit)

    Pros

It depends on which department you work in for there to be pros.

    Kontras

Most managers/directors don't speak to everyone on their team. Sometimes hierarchy is taken to the max and remaining staff feels the brunt of it (causing a low moral), and only certain employees get raises - most haven't received one in years. Plus the AMA doesn't promote from within.

    Rat an das Management

Promote from within - maybe this will build moral.
