The city of Berlin is currently home to a rich community of tech people and a thriving start-up scene. As a start-up success story, dunnhumby Germany (formerly Sociomantic) shares many of the same values that has seen Berlin grow as a tech playground over the years.

In 2009 Sociomantic, the programmatic advertising center of our company, opened in Berlin, with the ambitious goal to make display advertising intelligent, easy and effective for online marketing experts.

Five years - and millions of personalised ads and digital later - dunnhumby acquired Sociomantic and combined the innovative digital technology with our unparalleled knowledge of nearly one billion customers. The approach of online customer loyalty through private label brands has thus been completely revolutionised

Currently representing over 25 nationalities, the Berlin R&D department holds knowledge from all over the world. We actively participate with the community here in Berlin through meet-ups and to the rest of the world with our open-source contributions.

    The hiring process had 2 phases- an initial computer based aptitute test which involved average to difficult questions on mathematical ability and reasoning. More than the level of difficulty it was speed that was essential to clear the test. The test was followed by a one on one interview with senior managers. Interview had questions on logic, econometric and common puzzles.
