    Pros

    - Great ideas for company identity
    - Most of the people is friendly.
    -Above average salary and benefits
    - Internal hackathons and events
    - Lots of knowledge base. Has internal tech talks and knowledge sharing is a very important thing.
    - Growing company
    - Horizontal company. You can ask any team and are expected to make your own decisions.

    Kontras

    In paper it sounds good but it has terrible execution.
    - Company culture is great but often clashes with objectives and is lost in work.
    - Terrible lack of direction. Lots of political stuff inside and lack of procedures.
    - People are expected to be stressed and give his everything for the company. Terrible work/life balance
    - You are expected to be challenged and givr ideas, but most discussions end on a "you have no idea" or "Its my style". There is really no place for discussion. Also a LOT of rockstars.
    - A LOT of technical debt. Lack of style consistency across the code.
    - Reviews are actively used as a means to punish people for personal matters.
    - Lack of procedures and horizontality also means that when problem arises there is not a clear culprit or action, so for some teams it becomes going fron problem after problem.
    - Very poor documentation.
    - Most people get around because they are absolutely brilliant and can manage the terrible codebase, but stress is rampant.

    All in all, is great on paper but terrible in execution.

    Rat an das Management

    You cant expect to grow if people flee from the company. There cant be wars between teams. There needs to be a profound revision on workplace procedures and try to ensure that its a friendly place to work. Is a shame that a good base like this is going to waste.

    The most important thing is that you should value FAAAAR more how people work rather than the amount of work they do. The tech debt will keep increasing but there is an emphasis on speed over quality and people keep rushing things.

    Ich habe mich über einen Personalvermittler beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte 3 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im August 2009 bei Tuenti (Madrid (Spanien)).

    Vorstellungsgespräch

    There were three interviews, we had two interviews by phone, and the last one was a face-to-face interview.
    The telephone interviews were easy to succeed, there were typical questions like design patterns and some basic JavaScript questions.
    After the first phone interview I had to write a code test, it was a ticket sorter API. They outlined the BIG-O-NOTATION, and the reusability of the code(OO preferred :-) ).
    The code test had to be completed within 2 hours.
    The last step was the face-to-face interview, of course in Madrid, where I met 5-6 people of Tuenti. The whole morning was taken up by
    interviews. The first one was a personal interview including a detailed description of the company and bonus benefits and so on.
    In the second and third they tried to highlight my technical skills and experiences. Both tech questions and IQ questions were asked.
