Ich habe in Vollzeit bei Rocketmiles gearbeitet (mehr als ein Jahr)

    Pros

Great culture and great co-workers. Nice time-off / vacation policy. Multicultural.

    Kontras

Not possible to please and promote everyone. No longer a startup. Depending on your job title and anual income, you will eventually leave.

    Bewerbung

    1. Phone screen where they gave me a fairly simple coding algorithm, and asked questions like "When do you stop building features?"
    2. Coding Challenge - basically add some functionality to a React or Angular app that shows a list of hotels. For example, an image may load, how to account for that. Or fixing a search for a list of hotels. You're told to spend 3 to 4 hours, I spent around 4-5.
    3. Onsite
I had a unique experience when I showed up for my on-site. I rang the doorbell and the person who opened seemed extremely upset that I rang. When they opened, all they said was "What?"

I was taken aback and mentioned that I was there for an interview.

As for onsite, it was fairly broad.

    1. Talk with product person about personal questions.
     - "How would the people around you describe you?"
    - "Why do you want to work here?/What led you to want to work here?"
    - "When's the last time you failed?"
    etc.

    2. Talk with a Senior Engineer about nothing really. He came in and there really was no prompt or direction, so I talked about some JavaScript and React things and he asked me some React questions like:
    - "When would you use Redux?"
    - "What do you think of Context"
And then I spent more time to ask questions.

    3. Two engineers and a fair amount of back and forth questions. Then, system design the company's app in the form of a React/Redux application, but I unexpectedly also had to do back-end system design. I'm not sure why, given it's a front-end role, but I still diagrammed.

    4. Enhance the coding challenge you worked on through some specific requirements and pair programming with another engineer, and talk through your decision making.

    5. Talk with the CTO about high-level things, like what you want out of life and fairly vague concepts.

I ultimately got a generic rejection letter, so without any context about the interview process afterwards, and especially the first impression of how I was treated by one of their team members, combined with the lack of direction of some of the interviews, made this feel like a waste of time.

Other than that, the company does seem like it has a good culture and that they care about their employees, but I'm not 100%.
