N26 is Europe’s first Mobile Bank with a full European banking license. We have 5 million customers across 26 markets. Our team of over 1500 employees in 5 locations is concentrated on reinventing the banking experience for the digital generation. Valentin Stalf and Maximilian Tayenthal founded N26 in 2013 and launched the initial product in early 2015. Since January 2015, N26 has been available for Android, iOS, and desktop. N26 has raised more than $650 million from investors including Insight Venture Partners, GIC, Tencent, Allianz X, Peter Thiel’s Valar Ventures, Li Ka-Shing’s Horizons Ventures, Earlybird Venture Capital, Greyhound Capital, Battery Ventures, in addition to members of the Zalando management board, and Redalpine Ventures.

Public Transportation in Berlin 

N26 provides a subsidized yearly transport ticket. This covers the Berlin AB public transportation network: bus, tram, U-Bahn and S-Bahn.

One highlight of our summer 2019 campaign is the 220 square meter N26 graffiti wall. It was sprayed by hand by five graffiti artists in just four days on the side of a house at the East Side Gallery in Berlin, and at night, a projection brings the artwork to life. In Germany there are only about 10 graffiti artists who are able to do graffiti of this magnitude.

    Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte 3 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im März 2020 bei N26 (Berlin).

    Vorstellungsgespräch

    The process was overall smooth and speedy. The recruiter was very responsive and kept me up to date throughout the whole process.

    What stood out was how friendly, and down to earth, everyone was. The people I interacted with were all very motivated, and we seemed to align on what are the most important aspects of being a Data Scientist. The team puts a lot of emphasis on business impact, simplicity, and the continuous development of the people.

    The process consisted of
    * informative chat with the internal recruiter - we talked about my motivations, current job, etc. And I got to ask about the team structure, scope, and future projects.
    * I received a take-home task. Given a sample dataset, I was asked to model a specific problem and showcase the value of my solution.
    * on-site interviews. Presentation of take-home assignment and follow up questions, fundamental ML and Data Science questions, and discussion with the hiring manager about motivations and past projects.
