Ich arbeite in Vollzeit bei IHS Markit (Über 5 Jahre)

    Pros

    Bewerbung

Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte 2 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert bei IHS Markit (München, Bayern).

    Vorstellungsgespräch

Applied online. Got an email to set up a phone interview with line manager the next day. It went well but the interviewer seemed unprofessional and competitive instead of listening to my achievements, he would tell me how his own achievements were equal or better as compared to mine, which was absolutely ridiculous to me. I passed the interview and he set up an in-person interview with me at the Munich office the next day. It consisted of a one-hour written test after which the same line manager interviewed me for 30 minutes. No HR or any other person was present. The questions asked in the interview were irrelevant to the position; he asked me to sell a pen while interviewing me for a researcher job. After the interview I asked him to describe the work culture and he failed to tell me any concrete facts about the work culture of the company. I asked about the next steps in the recruitment process and he told me that HR would be sending me a contract. The next day, I sent a thank you email and some documents he had asked for. Through out the recruitment process, I was never once informed whether I had got the job or not. It was all extremely unprofessional and unofficial. Two weeks later I receive an email saying I will get the contract by today with still no mention of whether I had secured the job or not. And he told me that the job will be starting in 5 days. That is how I was basically "informed" that I had got the job. I received no email from HR as he had said I would and nor did I receive the contract. Then he emailed me a bunch of payroll forms to fill out and asked me to sign them immediately, WITHOUT EVEN READING OR HAVING THE CONTRACT. Needless to say I rejected the offer as the manager just did not seem like he had been trained in any ethics or professionalism. And of course, after writing a long polite email refusing the offer (an offer which I never officially was informed about), he replied with a passive aggressive email about how I had led him on to believe that I would accept the job. A job I was never officially offered and I was never asked about my decision of whether I would accept or reject it. The manager tried to guilt trip me into believing that I should have accepted the job just because he ASSUMED I would. Overall, would not recommend at all. Extremely unprofessional and negative experience. Seems like they don't have a HR department or the HR department is too busy planning parties than interviewing candidates. The line managers are clearly ill-equipped to act as recruiters and interact with candidates.
