For more than a century, we have been making the lives of our customers and consumers easier. What started as a three-man business in 1876 has grown into an international company with more than 53,000 employees worldwide.

We have leading positions with our innovations, brands and technologies in three business areas: Adhesive Technologies, Beauty Care and Laundry & Home Care. Henkel combines the best of both worlds: the heritage of more than 140 years’ experience and the entrepreneurial spirit of an innovative family business!


We are proud of successful brands & technologies that are present in our customer’s every day lives. Everyone knows our innovative brands such as Persil, Schwarzkopf or Pattex.

What many don’t know: The biggest part of Henkel’s turnover stems from the Adhesive Technologies business – technologies that are used in cars, wind turbines, airplanes or mobile phones, for instance.

Adhesive Technologies

Did you know that 70% of all smartphones worldwide contain adhesives from Henkel?

High-tech products for airplanes or Pritt products for school use: Adhesives have developed into a key technology and have become an integral part of our everyday life: furniture, diapers, wallpapers, packaging – there is a long list of things that wouldn’t be working without them.

We lead today’s and build tomorrow’s markets with our unique portfolio of breakthrough innovations, tailor-made solutions and strong brands in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings.

Beauty Care

Did you know that every second more than 20 hair colorants from Henkel are sold worldwide?

Schwarzkopf, Fa, Syoss: The business unit develops, produces and sells numerous successful high-quality products (hair, body, skin and oral), which are available in 150 countries worldwide. Henkel Beauty Care is active in the Branded Consumer Goods as well as the professional Hair Salon business. Schwarzkopf Professional for instance is among the world’s three leading suppliers of hair salon products.

Laundry & Home Care

Did you know that Henkel sells detergents for around 25 billion wash loads per year?

The Laundry & Home Care business unit is the cornerstone of Henkel’s success story: The company’s first product was a laundry detergent based on sodium silicate, named “Universal-Waschmittel” (universal detergent).

Since then, this branded consumer goods business has grown into a globally active unit with well-known brands, such as Persil, Purex or Pril. For consumers around the world, our brand names have become an integral part of their daily lives.

    Ich habe mich über einen Personalvermittler beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte 2 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im März 2019 bei Henkel (Rocky Hill, CT (Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika)).


    Light atmosphere with friendly people and questions targeted to my resume. They asked a few questions such as, "what are you passionate about" and then asked me what I was really passionate about after I gave my "perfect business answer". They asked about my background and for examples based off of many of my resume points. We also talked about hobbies, work culture, career development opportunities, and some small talk. Overall, it was a very pleasant process and the people couldn't have been nicer. It was a great experience.
